I think you’ve had more fun out of this book than I have. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I freaking love this book. Yeah. Are you gonna see Mad Max? Yes. Are you gonna see it Ella? I hadn’t thought about it, but maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Did you see the last one? No.

That’s awesome. No. My dad worked on it. Yeah. I was like, he took my grandma to like the crew screening. And then I was like, I was like, where’s my fucking ticket dad? And he’s like, well, you like art people. You don’t really like this kind of movie. And he was a bit like embarrassed by it. He’s like, it’s a stupid action movie. No, it’s not.

And I was like, nah, it’s cool. We like it now. Like, but yeah, I’m excited to go see it. Yeah. I’m mad about Max. Wait, how many Mad Max’s are there? There’s heaps. Five. Okay. Six. I feel like maybe I saw one. Like the old one. Yeah. Yeah. Is it Mel Gibson? Uh, yes. There’s like three or four from like the nineties that had like a tiny budget.

And then there’s the last one in this one that’s like got a huge budget. Yeah. Right. But it’s pretty cool. Okay. Welcome to. Whoa. Interrupting. Hello. Welcome to hung up, uh, season five, episode four. Four. Yeah. Yeah. Four. I think it’s three, but it doesn’t matter. Ah, three. It doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t matter. We do this every time. I work out a better system. My name’s Matt. I’m Aiden. And today we’re joined by Ella Mosley. Hello. Hey, what’s up? Um, not much. What’s up with you? Um, not much. I went out last night with your brother and our friend Jack and they got me so drunk that I was doing pushups on the pool table and spitting in waiters.

I mean, sometimes I did. I was, we got onto this one topic that I’ll talk with you about later that like got, got me all fired up. And I was like, man, I feel like, like, like, like energetic. Now I’m like grumpy and like mad enough. I just, I had a picture of me, like putting the pint glass on the floor and then doing pushups to like cool off for some reason, but it just, that didn’t happen.

You’ve done public pushups with me before. Yeah. That’s cause I was quitting smoking. I think I was kind of like insane. That was the worst. It’s like a mania, isn’t it? When you first quit smoking. Yeah. It sucks. Are you smoking at the moment, Ella? I’m, uh, it’s complicated. Yeah. I, um, I didn’t smoke for a week and I was like, I’m so good. And then I went out on Friday and I just couldn’t do, I couldn’t do that. And I realized I hadn’t been out for a week and that’s why I hadn’t smoked.

Yeah. Yeah. True. You’re like, no, I’m actually staying in tonight. And then like, yeah, I know exactly what it’s like. That was so hard. Wait, me and Matt like both kind of quit for once at the same time. Like the start of this year. True. And we just kept relapsing each other. Yeah. Yeah. It was really funny. Yeah. We were both quit and then it was my partner’s birthday and we were, none of us were smoking. We’re like, well, you should probably buy a packet of smokes. Like just in case.

I made the call. No, it wasn’t just in case. I was like, no, no, I was like, it’s just in case. It was like, I just know which way this is going. I just know. And then you’re in the city and you’re like, where can I get the good smokes that we love? Literally. Yeah. Sweet double happiness. Yeah. And I feel like I don’t, I’ve been like, is it easier to quit in summer or winter? Yeah. Because winter cigarettes so cozy, summer cigarettes so fun and flirty.

It’s actually crazy. I actually got like YouTube algoed as a guy and the video was like, I drink a beer. No, it was like drinking alcohol and smoking a cigarette in a public park at 2pm. That was like the video title. And it was like uncut. And it was 30 years. So I like watched it. Cool. It’s actually pretty funny. It’s a dude who looks like Matt.

Oh. Basically. Yeah. He’s maybe like 25 years old, like a slightly younger Matt. Yeah. And his whole channel is just him smoking. That’s usually reserved for like 65 year old, like grizzled US dudes, right? The dude that like camel unfiltered, like. True. He’s like pretty sweet and young and like. That’s cool. I love it.

He like opens, like he unboxes like lucky strikes from the 60s that have never been opened. What’s this guy’s name? I don’t know his name, but just that title will get us there for research later. What was it? Smoking in a park at 2pm. And drinking alcohol. And drinking alcohol. That’s like how you would say it if you were in year three.

Yeah, exactly. I saw Matt smoking and drinking alcohol. Yeah, exactly. Did you ever get caught smoking at school? Did you smoke at school? I started smoking when I was. I was thinking about this the other day. The first cigarette I ever had. I was 16 and I wanted to be a cool smoker so bad because I’d seen all the movies. And we had this like shop that everyone would go to after school.

And I saw a like dirty, like fucked up, but complete rained on, like squished cigarette in the pavement. And I was like, okay, well, this is it, I guess. And I picked it up. Somehow we had a lighter and smoked it with my friend. And it was the worst thing ever. That was the first one.

Yeah, no, terrible. I don’t know why I’m admitting this on the part. But yeah, that was the beginning of a long, illustrious career of smoking. And like, yeah, we didn’t really ever get caught doing it somehow. It was just like, it was so chill. Like I fucking, I went to this school where like, like when, you know, we would like go to the shop after school in our school uniform and be like, can we have a pack of smokes?

And they were like, yeah, sure. Like, no worries. Yeah. It was kind of like that back then. Yeah. Back in 1953. Exactly. When I went to school. That’s what it’s like. Do you remember your first cigarette, Ella? I do. I remember going to the lane. There was a couple of like the lanes for smoking around my school.

And my friend was like, we’re going to go smoke after school. Do you want to come? And I was like, yeah, I guess. And she was like, I was already really nervous. And she was like, you know, you’re bum puffing. And then from then on, that made me like even more determined to be a cool smoker.

And then it was like celebrated when I like smoked my first cigarette properly. Nice. Yeah. You guys were having a party for Ella. She just smoked her. Literally. Congratulations. That was the same night that I was in like Central Park, I think. And then like 10 minutes later, some guy said, what the hell?

You can stand on a skateboard way better than half the guys that I know. It all happened one night. And I was feeling amazing. Feeling amazing. Yeah. High on life. That’s a beautiful Sydney type experience. Yeah, that is sick. You got fucking AirPods off of my beautiful part. I guess you grew up here then. I did.

Grew up in like St. Peter’s. Oh, cool. Yeah. I haven’t really moved. Fuck yeah. Very much. Yeah, St. Peter’s is awesome. Yeah, I like St. Peter’s. Even though our favorite, Matt’s poor, poor favorite. I had this whole thing. Yeah. Okay. Well, I’ll tell the story now, I guess. But it was like, I was like trying to think of like a conceptual artwork to do, but not

a challenging one to complete. Like really simple concept, really simple execution, just for fun. And I was like, okay, what I’m going to do is I’m going to pick a spot. Yeah, there’s some construction going on again. They’re restoring the Notre Dame after it’s burned down.

I was like, we’re going to pick a spot and I’m just going to like determinedly hang out there and like just gather like experiences and photos of the spot. It’s pretty funny. Aiden’s just fucking around. Okay. And so I’m like, I remembered this spot. I have a photo of it, of like, like hanging out with our neighbor here, Maz and like my

sister. And like, it was like this beautiful sunny afternoon and we were just hanging out behind the goals at Camdenville Oval. And I was like, wow, what a cool spot. It’s like not even really a dog park. Like people don’t really hang out there at all. I was like, I’m just going to go and hang out there and take photos. And like, that’s going to be the spot. And then I keep trying to get Aiden to go.

We’re both busy. And then like, I finally get to go on Saturday morning and I get there at like 10 AM before I was going to go and do dark room. And like the whole field has been like dug the hell up. It’s just like destroyed. It looked like a world war one, like battle ground. And so, yeah, my whole artwork just…

The big red closed. Yeah. Yeah. It’s cute. They still kept the sign up, which was like, is it closed or open today? It is closed. Closed every day. So maybe it’ll be improved when we… Yeah. It was a pretty crazy soccer oval. It was like a soccer pitch, like playing soccer and like this. Wait, when did this happen?

Like Saturday. Oh, when did it get dug up? Was it asbestos? No, I don’t know. Hope not. Yeah. I mean, I heard the words like improvement. Oh, okay. They were like, yeah. It’s a quote unquote improvement. Yeah. Totally. So yeah, that’s my failed artwork of the week. But at least I tried. We got to find a new park. But I was like, it’s too cold. It’s too mucky. But you wanted it to be a little bit like mean.

Yes. I didn’t want it to be too nice, I guess. Because it’s like, you’re supposed to find a spot that kind of sucks a little bit and make it nicer by like sort of trying to enjoy it somehow. I fuck with that. I was like shitting on the artwork, but that’s nice. It’s okay. You got to defend it a little bit.

But yeah. I used to hear the, from my house where I grew up, I used to hear the like soccer games and stuff that would happen. Oh, at the place. Yeah. At that place. And it would get carried by the wind. So cool. It was so cool. I was always like, surely that can’t be all the way over there.

But it was. That’s cool. I like that. Yeah. It is amazing. Like the, the wind carrying sound thing. It’s such a like fairy tale like thing, but it actually does work. Like, yeah. So cool. So cool. Yeah. I saw your pinch in. Matt got a new copy of Crying of Lot 49. Yeah. I’m borrowing it from Dom.

Shout out Dominic. I’m pretty sure there’s a line in V, his other book, talking about the jazz on the wind. That really stuck with me. Yeah. Cool. Like pouring out of the bars. Yeah. God damn. Yeah. This book has been like really cutely like underlined. Someone’s like gone and done a whole bunch of notes and it just seems it’s like, I don’t think it’s for like school or anything.

It’s just like for fun. I guess. That’s awesome. My mom actually loves this book. Really? Yeah. That’s cool. I gave her this and she was like. Shout out to Liz. Yeah. She will be listening. Oh, hell yeah. What’s up, Liz? Yeah. We love your work, mate. I feel like Lewis was reading this. Did he? Yeah. Did you talk about it? Yeah. We talked about it. Yeah. I was like, shut up.

No spoilers. It’s pretty fun. It’s pretty fun to be able to read one of these like pinch in like famously like pretty tricky postmodern stuff. And I love like the short little novella. It really feels like you can have an entry point without, you know. Committing to a whole slog. Committing to like a month of hard work. Yeah. Although it was pretty funny. I got a copy of Sense and Sensibility on the CD.

As like bedtime stories. Cool. And I’ve read like Pride and Prejudice and like I didn’t fully get it. Like I think I was a bit young. I was like having a bath yesterday and I put the CD on and I was like, I just couldn’t follow it. It’s like they’re speaking so quickly and I’m like, and it’s all these like, what would you call them? Matt? It’s like these negative sentences.

Like it’s like, if it were not for her unkindness. And I’m like, what the fuck? Like shut up. Which character is this? Just say what you mean. And I just had to like get up and like turn. I was like, fuck. It was like my like beautiful, sweet, like pretentious bedtime story idea. Like fucked me over. Oh my God. Bath time is too weird. We’ll try again. Like I think maybe not that book.

Yeah. Yeah. The bath. I like the book CD. That’s cool. Yeah. I like that too. Ashfield Library. I was on the phone to you actually, Matt. And I turned the corner and I saw the book CDs. I was like, oh, here we go. Bring your hands together. Everyone knows I’m going full analog at the moment. Yeah. Aiden’s committing to a non-digital lifestyle. That’s awesome.

But as you said, CDs are digital, but you all know what I mean. Yeah. Yeah. Brick phone. Brick phone. I have the brick phone. I have an Alcatel touch flip, but I also have the iPhone. Not sponsored. Not sponsored. Yeah. I think that’s kind of, that’s kind of the gold standard dumb phone. But if you work at Alcatel and you want to advertise on the podcast, write me a message.

Yeah. Hell yeah. Yeah. You’re an artist, Ella. Hang on a second. This is an art podcast after all.

We, we both really loved your record. I mean, I worked on the record. You did. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to listen to it again, but I did see the, I think it was the first performance. Oh yeah. Yeah. At the pub. What was it? At the, at the, at the Botany View. Botany View. Yeah. Oh yeah. And it was fucking monsooning that night. It was.

Me and Gemma were like, we walked there and it was like this gauntlet and I’m like, but I really want to see it. Yeah. It was worth it. We were just sat up the back and you fucking killed it. Oh, thank you. I was. It was such a great performance. Yeah. Yeah. I was. It was a great performance. Thank you. That was a really fun night. It was cool. Cause I had no idea it was like bucketing. Yes. Yeah.

I think, I think until right before I went on. Oh, that’s so cool. So I didn’t have enough time to get kind of like nervous about people not showing up or anything like that. Yeah. And it made it feel nice and cozy. Yeah. What, what was it like? Like, what is it like, like performing your music? Like, like, you know, like we’ve both like played in bands before and played in like a

whole bunch of different, like musical, um, like organizations, but like, you’re just like on your own for like this stuff. Like what’s, what’s that like? It’s, um, it’s very strange. It’s like a, it’s been a really good challenge for me to figure out what I like to do on stage. And like, like, it’s really interesting to see what you naturally do when you don’t, when

you’re not holding an instrument or you’re not like bouncing off other people’s energies on stage. At first I was like, Oh no, I don’t think this is like working for me. Um, but I think it’s like quite, um, I don’t know, empowering or something when the whole

room is like silent and you’re like, I, everyone’s eyes are on me and I can do whatever I want to do. Wow. Um, but it’s, it’s really fun. It’s like quite, I’m still getting used to it. I think cause I don’t play like heaps of shows. Um, and I’ve been thinking recently about like different, like exploring some different

like setups or like bringing guitar and stuff back into it. But I feel like I really enjoy like going, channeling the emotions of when I wrote those songs and it makes it really easy to do that when you have your full body to do. Wow. Yeah. That’s interesting. Um, yeah, I know what you mean about that.

Like, like I, like I haven’t played, um, in a while, like under my own steam, but I know this feeling of like, you like play or sing a note and then you just like hear the echo of it hit the back wall and come back to you. Like the crowd has stopped talking and it’s like, Oh fuck. Like now what do I do? Like, yeah, it’s very exciting and like amazing, like musical moment when everyone’s like, okay,

we’re all involved in this one thing. And yeah, it’s, and it’s, it’s kind of hard in Sydney because there’s not that many places to get that. Like, you know, like you, you, the, the show we’re talking about was at like a pub where people are just allowed to like, yeah, we’re, we’re watching the 40 or we’re like, we’re gambling over here, you know? Yeah. Like you don’t, the, the music isn’t necessarily the focus.

Totally. Do you have any like spots that you’ve played that you really enjoyed? Um, well like when we, we played at prop that time and I was thinking that spot is such a great space for that. Totally. Yeah. Shout out to prop gallery. Shout out to prop. And records. Buy more records.

Avery’s show there. Yeah. Um. Were you in the gallery or do they have another space? When we played. In the gallery. In the gallery. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t even actually remember playing that show. All I remember is seeing the awesome band that played after us. The like Japanese. Sister Paul. Sister Paul. Yeah. Tell me about that. It’s cool. So cool. Yeah.

Awesome. Sister Paul. It was like probably the, one of the loudest shows I’ve ever been to just cause they like Yeah. So like they didn’t have that much equipment, but they just like hit it so hard. Yeah. It’s such a tiny little triangle. Small little triangle room. Yeah. It was cool. But I quite like, I quite like prop. I think that’s a really nice spot.

Low 302 was pretty nice too. Yeah. True. Yeah. Is that the one that’s like downstairs in the city somewhere? Yeah. It’s not downstairs. Yeah. It’s like. It feels like it’s downstairs. Yeah. I know. I think it’s actually street though. It’s on Crown Street. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And we had that like chai tea. That’s actually right.

Like right next door. Did you, were you there for that? Maybe not. Okay. So it’s like, um, like, okay. Low 302. It’s on Crown Street and there’s like next to it is like a little convenience store. Oh yeah. And, um, the convenience store has like a little chai tea, like robot, like a little like vending machine.

And it’s like some of the best chai tea I’ve fucking had. Like it’s really good. And they’re like a couple of bucks for a cup. So the last time we were there, we saw, I think it was George Amelligan. We saw a play there. And like me and a couple of other homies, like had like four or five cups of, we just stopped drinking and started to switch to chai. I like that move. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

And then like it got super caffeinated because I think it’s got heaps of black tea in it, right? Yeah. It was got all wired, but yeah, it was really cute. Like funny, like switch of the night. I feel like tea can make you realize if you like the performance more or something compared to alcohol. True. That’s a good point. True. The sobering effect. Yeah. The thoughtful effect of chai tea.

Yeah. True. Maybe that’s what it’s for. Yeah. They serve it to you in these little cups as well, like this big. It would be cool if we had like, when I was fucking doing my Europe thing, I was like, someone introduced me to the like Club Mate and vodka. Oh, yeah. And it’s like, it’s so much because I guess we only really have like Red Bull here. Yeah. Like if you want caffeine and booze, but that’s like a bit more chill.

And then you’re sipping them all night. And so the kind of vibe at the pub isn’t just booze. It’s like booze and coffee kind of energy, which I think is pretty good. I like that. It is a really cool. It’s a good combo. Way classier than a vodka Red Bull, obviously. Yeah. But I will drink a vodka Red Bull if push comes to shove. Our times have changed, my friend.

Yeah, true. I used to be like, it’s red wine only. Yeah. I need red wine that you can chew on. Fucking Aiden, get this out of my house. Like I walk in with a Red Bull. Get the fuck out of here. Yeah, true. I was really anti Red Bull. I really like, yeah. I was like, wanker. You were. We all were. Excuse my French audience. Well, I don’t know if you were.

It’s now become an explicit episode. I assume we all were. Yeah. At some point. Yeah. We were all pretty new town-y. At least. I’m pretty cool. Can you not be? I don’t know. Yeah. Maybe some people can. Some people aren’t that cool. It’s okay. You can be. You have to be a dick.

He’s back. I fucking really like the little sugar-free Red Bull though. I somehow feel like that’s classy. Yeah. Like I don’t feel. The little cans. I don’t feel like embarrassed when I drink that. True. Yeah. That’s just me, man. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think that’s cool. Like now I get it. Thanks, dude. Now I get it.

Aiden’s got the sun. Every time I have a Red Bull, I get a heart palpitations. Yeah. You don’t really fuck with coffee. Within like half an hour. So Vodka Red Bull is like. Yeah. I think I’m realizing I’m kind of the same. Like I just can’t. I can’t drink that much coffee. Drink that much coffee. Yeah. It’s pretty fun. I mean, I love it.

It’s pretty fun. Aiden’s got this like. There’s like a picture of a street. And then Aiden has brought from home his own picture of a bus. And he’s like moving. Like dancing the bus around the street. It’s a Stephen Shaw photo from 1974. Yeah. Market Street, San Francisco. Beautiful photo. And I have a little Aussie bus.

The T-80. Yeah. That’s good. And I’m driving it down the street. The T-80 to Parramatta. That’s kind of a cool. Because I’m fucking. That’s a cool like. I’m ruining the show. Yeah. You know what? Toys away. It’s a good little jocular artwork. Okay. Now it’s a little. Now it’s a little. This is like only visual. Humor for the podcast. That’s good.

Well, I’ll just fill you guys in on that one. Aiden. There’s cars on the front cover. In a parking lot. And Aiden slapped down the T-80. Parked it in the parking lot. That’s pretty good. You got to give it to Abby. She’s got a couple of funny ones. What do you think about video? Would this be weird if we had video? Video. Like video. Oh, yeah.

True. Like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I quite like video podcasts. Yeah. Do you ever watch them? No. But. But I think I’d like to. I think it’s the perfect. Because like. Draw. Drawing. Yeah. It’s really fun. Listening to podcasts. Yeah. I think I’d like to see. Yeah.

It’s cool like. As well. Background TV. I don’t really do like. The background TV thing. Right. But it’s nice to have it just like. It’s on. And then you can look up if they’re like. Doing the bus joke. Yeah. Yes. That’s how people must do it. Yes. Because I’ve never watched a fucking whole podcast. I have. Damn. That’s hectic. Yeah. Just watch the whole podcast. Yeah. It’s weird. Yeah. I was pretty sick.

Are you watching? Are you sick? I don’t know. Some like stupid American like comedy ones. I watched a couple of like Kill Tonys back in the day as well. Which are like really hard to watch. Like. It’s like. Have you seen this podcast? Well. Some of our hardcore American style listeners will know. But it’s like. Really like mean. Tough podcast. It’s like. It’s a live show in like.

I think in like. Texas. It’s in Texas. And there’s this like comedian. It’s kind of like a roasting show. Where like. You sign up to go and try your stand up set. And then you do like a little one minute set. And then like. A panel of comedians like roasts you. And like. Asks you questions. Sometimes can be really hilarious.

But. Yeah. A lot of the times. It’s really uncomfortable. It’s really mean. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway. Whatever. Whatever. Yeah. Wait Matt. How’s your plastic bag. YouTube channel. Oh yeah. Going. Yeah. True. How’s your little YouTube channel. Yeah. It’s not going at all.

It’s one of my like. Someone recently said that I’m the final boss of guys in the inner west that have lots of hobbies. Which is quite true. Yeah. So. Real like. Obsessive. Compulsive listeners. Will know that I started a YouTube channel.

A couple of months ago. And the video I put up was like. Me explaining how. To fold a plastic bag. So that it takes up as little space as possible. Like. Less space than if you just scrunched it. For example. Cool. So yeah. I made that one video. And then like. Haven’t made anything since. I liked that video. Yeah. Thanks.

It was a cute idea. I definitely want to do more stuff like that. Like. We did this like. Like. Yeah. I work in like photography. And we did this like. Purely creative shoot yesterday. For my photographer. And I was like. I was so jealous. I was like. Wait a second. We. Like. We also can just do. Artworks. And I was like. Oh fuck. That’s so fun.

Yeah. And yeah. It just reminded me again. And also like. Speaking with Sam Hodge the other day. He was like. Just go and fucking do it. Like. Stop getting all obsessed about like. Like. I heard someone else put it like this. They’re like. No masterpieces. Like. You can’t make masterpieces. You just gotta go and do stuff. And I just. I love that advice right now.

Just like. Getting out there. And like. Yeah. Yeah. YouTube channel. Five views. No. I got like 30 or 40 views. Do you find that. How are you going with that Ella? Like. Just like releasing stuff. Is it tricky. Or are you in a good place with it? I am. Trying to practice.

Just making. Stuff. For. Play. And. Not think about. Releasing. Too much. But I’ve just kind of. Gotten back into like. Writing again. I guess like. Second album. Kind of stuff. That’s huge.

Yeah. I have a bit of like. A backlog. Yeah. But then. Getting excited about new songs. Mm. So.

I’m feeling. I’m feeling good. I feel like the. Like.

The. What do you call it? Like the top. The actual release process. Was like so. New to me. Mm. Mm. And. Very like. Lucky to have. Jordan. Like helping me through. Jordan from. Dino City. Mm. But.

Like. Like.

I think. It still. Like scares me a little bit. But I’m. Just focusing more on the writing. See. At the moment. Try not to think too much about like. Until it’s all ready. Right. I see. Try not to get ahead of myself. Yeah. Hell yeah. It’s funny with music. Cause it’s like.

Like. I don’t know what it’s like for. Like. Making a photo book. For example. We should have. Grilled Sam about this. But it’s like. It just feels like. There’s so much more admin to do. Yeah. When you’re putting music out. Like. Right. I mean. Yeah. It’s like. It’s sort of. It’s. Like. Distributed it in such a different way.

To like. A painting. You know. Like. Just one painting. And if it sells. That’s great. Yeah. But like. You can’t. I mean. People have tried this. But you can’t really just do like. We’re just making one record. Yeah. Yeah. So it’s just like. Because of that. Like. Just working backwards from that fact. Like. Everything is so. Like. You gotta send heaps of emails. Yeah. You gotta get pictures taken of you.

It’s such a like. It’s a whole marketing thing. I see. If you want to do the like. A la mode. Like. Way to do it these days. I mean. You could just be like. It’s out. But. Yeah. That’s what I’m planning on doing. Yeah. I’m gonna. I’m literally just gonna like. Yeah. What do they call it? Hard launch. That’s awesome. Right. Hard launch. That’s funny. Yeah. And I’m just gonna be like. It’s out. And like.

Sucked in. Like. Because I’m no longer interested in like. Marketing or appeal. Like. With the music. It’s just. It’s gotta be for me. Yeah. And me only. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. But like. No. Like. You know. I think like. A really cool thing that like. Because like. We actually have a great music scene in Sydney. And. And there is a lot of help for that stuff.

Just for any musicians listening. Like. You go to the like. FBI open day. Or whatever. Or just talk to me if you want to know more about this. But yeah. Like. Because I’ve done it a few times. There’s like. A lot of support for that stuff. It’s just that. You have to do heaps of work. Unless you have a label. You know. Yeah. Music is cool. I like music.

Music is pretty cool. Yeah. Have you listening to anything at the moment that you like. Love? I’ve been. Listening. I keep coming back to Arthur Russell. Yeah. At the moment. Cool. He’s my guy. Yeah. It was his birthday the other day. Yeah. Such an amazing artist.

I. I always like. Listening to his stuff on Spotify. I always feel like. I’m like. Is there two or three different people called Arthur Russell? Yes. That’s the vibe I get. But it’s like. The same guy. The amazing thing about him. He’s been. Like. Yeah. Very inspiring. Recently. Because he just did whatever he wanted to do.

Yeah. And each album is so different. Yeah. But it’s still so like. Him. As well. Like. Yeah. Like. He’s like. Wasn’t. I mean. Maybe. Apparently. He was like. A big perfectionist. And like. I think it was like. Two. Or three of the albums. Yeah.

Were released. After he passed away. Yeah. Right. Because he just couldn’t. He wouldn’t release them. Because he was just like. Working on them. Like. Four. I think one of them was like. Four years. And people were being like. Okay. Now’s the time. And he’s being like. No. No. No. It’s not the time. Yeah. Cool. Damn. I want to do that.

Oh wait.

I already did. I don’t know this Hermie. But. I’ll check him out. Oh yeah. Yeah. You would like it. It’s beautiful. Like. Very like. Gorgeous. Like. A lot of it’s quite sad. Sort of. Style music. But like. It kind of. What. What.

Threw me off about it. And what made me think like. It was a couple of different people. Is like. It goes from being like. Folk music. To like. Just purely like. Abstract. Like. You can call it art music. Or something. Interesting. Like noise. Like cello noise music. Yeah. Yeah. So cool. To have both of those things. In your like. Yeah. Range.

I feel like you have a bit of that. Ella. As well. I wasn’t expecting that. When I. Because I’d like. Never listened to your stuff before. So I had no idea what to expect. And I was like. Whoa. And yeah. I really do love like. Quote unquote. Like art music. Or abstract music. Mm. Mm. Um. And then I guess I got. Into a bit of like.

The hyper pop stuff. And I was like. Whoa. You can. People are putting them together now. Like. So cool. Yeah. I do need to get back into that. I’m kind of ready to like. Intentionally. Listen to some new music. But it’s such a. Yeah. I’m particularly like. Into that. Mm. Combo. Mm. Yeah. It is really cool. Like.

Um. People are like. Feeling like. Less afraid of like. Having really cohesive. Yeah. Albums or something. Totally. Which is quite nice. Because. It’s a good point. I feel like. And even with like. Lineups and stuff like that. I’m noticing more and more. Yeah. Like. Um.

Even at like. I went to Nag Nag Nag. Oh yeah. And it was really cool. To. Um.

Uh. See all those bands. Playing. Together. Mm. Which I. I didn’t. I didn’t really think that would. Have happened. Yeah. That’s so cool. Yeah. It’s funny. Because like. A lot of musicians. And like. There’s a lot like. Of style. And culture. That like. Aspires to this 90s thing. But like. That would never go down in the 90s.

Like. Surely. Like. Everyone. Or at least anyone that was like. Interested in doing commercial music. In the 90s. They were like. This is a trip hop album. Like. The whole album is trip hop. And like. This is a grunge album. Like. The whole album is grunge. You know. But like. People really do be releasing. Like. Whack. Whack shit. Yeah. It’s so cool. And like. Who cares what the genre is.

Like. It’s. Between albums. And inside an album. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s a good point. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was kind of thinking about this recently. About like. Like. We talked about like social media. And like. Like. Seeing like. You know. Just this like. Like. Everything. In the rainbow. Of human.

Like. Joy. And suffering. And everything in between. Like. At random. Almost. You know. It’s like. Yeah. We’re getting married. Like. It’s my birthday. It’s my friend’s birthday. Like. Like. Horrible things are happening in the world. And like. You know. We need your help. And then like. Happy birthday to my other friend. You know. It’s like. It’s like a. Sort of. Like.

I don’t know. Psychotic. Like. Combination of things. To use. Like. Yeah. Yeah. I’m feeling a bit like. Worn out by my phone. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But like. Fuck. Yeah. Are you saying. Sorry. Go on. Do you have TikTok right now? No. I don’t. Crucially. I think that helps. Oh. Does it help?

Why? Well. I feel like TikTok. Huh? Oh. No. No. It helps to not have TikTok. Oh. Got it. Got it. Yeah. Well. TikTok’s actually safe to use. They turned out. Yeah. Yeah. I guess. Like. I was sort of saying like. I was. I was wondering. Yeah. If. You know. We’re. Like. Just by being exposed to that like.

Jumble of stuff. Like. Do we feel more like. Free. In our. Art lives. To be like. Yeah. I’m a painter. Now. I’m a sculptor. Or whatever. Or I’m painting this. And now I’m painting this whole different style. Yeah. That’s probably more. Yeah. Accurate. Yeah. Yeah. True. Yeah. Like. I mean. Like. What about your record Ella?

Like. You know. I. I. I think you. You made like. Most of it. Like. Or entire. Entirely. It was made like. On a laptop. Right. Like. Yeah. And like. Yeah. Like. The sound. What blew me away with it. Was like. The sounds. That you kind of. Come up with. Because like. It’s like. I’ve done a lot of like.

Sound design stuff. For like. My music. And other people’s music. And like. Just random projects. And I know how long it takes. To like. Get to these different. Like. Sounds. Like. Like. You know. I like. What I always tell people. Who don’t know. How to. About like. Making music. In.

Like. The studio. Is that like. You sort of. You find that like. It accumulates. Like. You do a take of something. And then you add something to it. Like. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t know. Can you just like. Talk. Through. Like. The method. A little bit. Of the record. Like. Yeah. I’m interested to know. Even just for myself. Like.

How did you get those. Sounds. I think. Like. Well. The first. Couple of songs. That I made. Were in like. 2020. For this project. I guess. Um. And that was just like. Purely like. Playing around on GarageBand.

Um. Mm. Until like. I found something that I liked. Like. It wasn’t really. I wasn’t really trying to do. Anything in particular. Mm. I don’t think. Mm. Um. Except for make music. That wasn’t what I had. Been making. Before. Which was just like. Folk. Rock.

Music. Which I love. But I was like. Wanting to do something different. Mm. Um. Um. But I was thinking about this the other day. And like. I. I don’t. Know. What I actually do. Like. Wow. It feels like I like. Black out sometimes. Cool. And then.

Wow. I get really frustrated. Because I’m like. I can’t. Yeah. Do that. Yeah. Again. And then it will just. Uh huh. Happen. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. It’s cool. It’s kind of like. Um. Yeah. It’s kind of like. So like. Putting down like. Oil on a canvas. In that way. It’s like. You can’t like. You can’t like.

Ever really get that same brush stroke. Back. Yeah. And you can’t like. Lift it off. Without just like. Erasing it. Yeah. Literally. Cool. I like that. I’ve. I’ve had that happen before as well. It’s like. You play for like. Two or three hours. With something. And then you get to the end. And you’re like. I’m never going to be able to recreate. That whole. Weird.

Like. Yeah. Sort of. List of decisions that I made. To get to this point. Yeah. Really great way to use. My. Computer. In my. Yeah. To make music. Because like. I think like. I mean. I don’t. Without. Getting too technical. Because I know like. Most of our listeners are like. Visual artists.

Or studying visual art. But. You know. Like. When you make music. In a studio. And you want to record it. Like. There is a sort of like. An accepted like. Practice. If you just like. If you’re sort of getting music. That can be played. In a room. Down into the computer. Or on tape.

Like. You sort of have. An order of operations. That’s like. The standard. You know. Yeah. You record the drums. And then you record the guitar. Or whatever. You know. A couple different ways of doing it. But there’s. Some pretty mainstream. Like. Traditions. You could say. But yeah. Like. Using it in this way. It’s like. It’s so much more like. Painting. Or like. Abstract photography. Or something. Yeah. You know.

I saw. Like. Someone. Compare. Like. Producing to. Embroidery. Which I thought. Was really cool. Yeah. True. Because I was like. Yeah. It is really just like. Adding. Yeah. Or like. Adding all the little. Little bits. Sewing on little like. Beads. Or something.

Yeah.

I definitely still do the. I think like. Drum and bass. First. Yeah. Which I don’t know. If that’s classic. Studio. That’s pretty classic. Studio. Yeah. I mean. I like working that way too. Yeah. But. Know that. Yeah. I think. I think I do. Yeah. But. I’m.

I’m planning on getting a new laptop soon. Ooh. So I’m going to say goodbye. To Garage Band. Whoa. Which is going to be. Cool. Interesting. That’s huge. Yeah. Um. Wow. Like. Do you think. Like. I mean. It’s got to. Like. Garage Band. It’s got to be like. A part of the sound. Of that record. Yeah.

Yeah. It’s all. What’s it called? Like.

Emerald. Emerald. Yeah. Glaze. Pad or something. It was used so many times. The famous. Emerald Glaze Pad. Yeah. I know it. Yeah. That’s a beautiful program. Garage Band. That’s so cool. Yeah. It’s amazing. I don’t know. What? Logic?

Yeah. I don’t know. Yeah. I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Um. They’re all kind of the same. In my opinion. Yeah. I’ve gone full circle on this. Dolls. Yeah. Listeners would. With really curious minds would be satisfied by the fact that we’re recording this into Ableton

right now. Just FYI. So it’s perfectly in time. We’re all listening to the metronome clip track so we can make our jokes like.

Timing bro. Right on time. Yeah. we’re gonna go to a quick ad break the uber driver is on the back that’s so good we should order something so that we can get another I’ll plug in another bite in the delivery notes

do your warm ups now mic handling tech alright we’re back we’re freaking back that first part of the episode was brought to you by uber eats no it wasn’t we’re not saying

any brand names because we don’t want to give them a free ride cut that out yeah I’ll beep that out just kidding no more beeps no more edits I’ve got a fully hands off podcast producing style now and it’s working out really good I think yeah my job’s a lot easier sometimes

it used to take me four hours to do an episode one day we had a six hour edit do you remember that was in your house in utah yeah yeah maybe this is getting a bit too much into the trivia of the pod yeah we once spent how long has the podcast been going on for like three years do you have an anniversary date

yeah we need a we’ve got a first taping that we will do an anniversary of I think it’s like in the spring or something oh yeah yeah we’ve taken a lot of time off but we’re feeling pretty consistent we were talking about this it’s like if you like work part-time at a place and then you’re going for a job at a new place

you’re like I was full-time there you know what I mean that’s true you’re just like I worked there for five years full-time podcasters yeah even though it was only one day every second yeah exactly yeah exactly that’s what I’m saying yeah yeah yeah I get you guys and listen they can’t tell the difference no one knows the difference it’s not being a brain surgeon otherwise

nobody would be podcasting I like this cup Matt yeah thanks my mom gave it to me she was like we like she was like someone gave it to us as a present and there was only three she was like I’m not having three odd glasses that’s funny and then one of them broke

so they gave me two blue glasses what am I gonna do with I just got I went to this like Asho community market yesterday and this one stall holder she had like a really great CD collection so I got some nice CDs which I’m excited for and I was like how much for the CDs and she’s like they’re free like just take them

and I was like that’s really nice and so I ended up giving her like five or ten bucks or something but then she was like but you have to take this box of champagne flutes and a sushi maker and I was like I’ve got heaps of champagne flutes and I fucking roll my own sushi but I like had to take it yeah

such a funny interaction I was like yeah I can’t say no to that you just gave me a bunch of cool CDs that’s awesome and that’s like a fair trade as well I don’t want to get rid of the sushi maker sushi maker what is that what does that I’m not looking forward to it but I think from what I’ve seen in the past it’s sort of like a extrusion tool

yes so like you open it up it’s like how they make sausages like yeah kind of so it’s got like a really whoa it’s got like what’s this what am I making you’re making a piston motion imagine like a plastic tube with a piston no and you open the tube and you put the ingredients inside

rice god damn and then you push the piston and extrude the sushi so you don’t have to roll it right wow damn when you told me that story the first time I thought you meant one of those mats that you like just a bamboo yeah no this is the whole wow that’s such a device

okay well you should bring around let’s she had like three of them like stacked up yeah that’s a there’s a business plan right there we’ll talk about this off air yeah true I’m gonna take that out no one get any funny ideas but yeah those community markets are so sweet yeah they are funny I fucking

I love it oh and it was like at Ashfield Boys School oh yeah and they share their parking with the RSL cool that was so sweet that’s so cute the school does yeah it’s like what the hell it’s like RSL parking like first level boys school parking second level cool it’s like that’s so like public school community vibe

yeah true but yeah I’m really living I just moved to Croydon like a few months ago and really enjoy it yeah you’re living that outer inner west lifestyle yeah and I’ve done Ashfield before but it just feels really nice to get like reconnected to a place there’s our man walking around yeah I love moving

to new parts of Sydney yeah and like fucking finding the coffee shop have you been to the sauna yet is it the Aiden goes to that oh my god look at that face Aiden goes to that sauna like it’s his own bathroom I’m in there every day like he’s there every day in the bath I have a membership why don’t we close we’ve got a guy crawling around no he’s cool

he’s kind of jumping he’s a really nice guy yeah he’s fixing a major problem for you he’s fixing some serious problems for me it’s true um dude do you want to close the we literally have a guy crossing left to right and then right to left just close the curtains it’s like the vibes it’s throwing me off he’s a good guy

you’re facing yeah I’ve got to hang out with him he’s checking him out I’m checking him out I’ve got a couple of Vietnamese places like one of them like and everyone knows about this but I just want to bring it up just to like put some respect on their name that place on South King like I don’t even know

if it has a name really but it’s like right near the like Sydney Park Hotel right down the end they do juices and banh mi I had like one of the best like barbecued pork belly banh mi from there I’ve ever had on Saturday and yeah it was so good and I’ll take you there yeah and then the other day

Aiden took me to this place for like we went to like one place for the banh mi and another place for the coffee like Vietnamese coffee and it was one of those coffees where it’s got like cream and salt and sugar in it and that thing blew my head off I was like I think a bit hungover or sticky vibes or something and it just like sorted me right out

I was so happy with the condensed milk at the bottom yeah is that it yeah it was like really sweet but like almost like sea salt it’s like the big yellow one on the corner like the really famous one in the outfield it’s called like banh kwan but their salt coffee is I think the best and then there’s a place just across the road called D’s which is like sort of a fancy restaurant

but they’ve started doing banh mi out the front and it’s so fucking cool it’s so good they like put it on a barbecue for you like the whole sandwich whoa that’s awesome it was really good what the hell it was funny though I was talking to someone at work about like cooking and I feel like there’s like pressure to be into cooking and to be a good cook it’s like another little

like status not status I don’t want to go too far because we love cooking true but it was cool because she was just like nah I fucking hate cooking I was like cool like that’s alright like I’m passed good answer yeah you know what I mean my boyfriend cooks all my meals that’s funny yeah and like cafe cooks the other ones oh yeah that’s pretty funny

because yeah it’s not always that fun yeah no and it is still money it is still very expensive yeah especially if you’re like not as good yet you can fuck up expensive ingredients yeah and it’s like yesterday I was like I bought a chicken and I fucking butchered it and then I made chicken broth and then I had the four pieces

and I was like it was 15 bucks for the whole thing and I was like if I bought this all separately it would have been like 35 bucks yeah we were talking about that recently but like you can’t always fucking butcher a chicken and make chicken stock it does take a bit of time yeah I mean I’ve been doing it since I was a kid yeah so I try wow yeah not butchering chicken but like cooking I was gonna say yeah like cooking

yeah I’m fucking crazy about cooking for like my whole life now so that is true sometimes you know it’s like anything like your music or anything you’re good at yeah sometimes you don’t realize you don’t remember yeah it ain’t that easy yeah it’s true you forget you forget about starting you can’t make like oh the only nice thing like quote unquote nice

is like from a restaurant like the food I make at home is kind of gross but I just have to eat like that’s a reality like no no hate like that’s just life right yeah it’s fucking hard sometimes um yeah it’s like those like yeah poor dudes who like I mean not like it’s not like they’re

that hard done by because they’re making lots of money but it’s like you just see these like scary pictures of a dude that’s like moved to the mines and it’s like eating just like food under this like cold fluorescent lighting and it’s like all he knows is microwave and like yeah 7-11 and it’s just like oh but he’s gonna come home with like 300 grand

in his bank yeah I know six years yeah the I keep even though I’m a good for nothing dirty wall-licking artist I keep like my mind wanders and I’m like how am I gonna make a million bucks and I’m like what about if we do just six months in the mines you know but like I need to make guys if anyone has any idea

I need to make a lot of money what about you could do you know they do those like medical trials oh yeah you like go away for three weeks and try out some new true we’re trying we’re trying a new therapy where we chop your left hand off yeah and uh we’ll sew it back

on the end we’ll probably sew it back on the end but we’ll give you $35 like ooh okay yeah fuck yeah we do need to get rich me and you have been talking about this for ages yeah I’m sick of like I mean I love my job but like yeah you still have to go to work you know yeah

yeah would you like to be rich Ella I would like to be rich I would I would like to be rich in time which I think comes from being rich in money yeah yeah yeah yeah that’s what I’m thinking yeah someone was telling me about this like

luxury communist have we seen this stuff it’s like some kind of like socialism but it’s like we also get to have like really nice cocktails and like spas and stuff yeah which I was like sorry I just got distracted by the man in the roof me too the man in the mirror this is this episode is

brought to you by the man outside fixing our roof thank you so much we never thought you’d turn up but here he is what are you guys recording again that’s pretty funny wow you really popped me for that joke that was a good one yeah you really liked that one yeah geez wait sorry what were you saying I was talking about luxury

something luxury communism and it’s like this little movement that was like sometimes us sweet little lefties get a bit austere in like what we think we can have and we’re like but we can’t be just unless we’re like eating peas and wearing rags and it’s kind of like a bit of an antidote

to that where they’re like it’s okay to like like some nice shit but we could still have like a more just society but like we could be having like mad fun and like big spas and nice parties and nice houses and I was like ooh that sounds pretty good too those all sound really good yeah I’d love a hot tub

in the backyard yeah what the hell I was talking about that yesterday yeah wait I was wanting to have a bath but hang out outside with the friends yeah I know you know in the winter yeah I’ve done that before it’s the best that sounds awesome it’s so cool a beer in the hot tub in the jacuzzi

it’s so cool yeah I can’t believe I was doing some sauna research last week and it turns out that Finnish people eat hot dogs and drink beer in the sauna that’s crazy and that’s just standard yeah you were like almost mad when you told me that you were like what I was shocked in the sauna in the same room in the sauna yeah that’s insane they have a little

in the story there was a barbecue in there yes oh yeah cool they’re like doing it on the hot that’s pretty funny just breathing in all the hot dog fumes it actually sounds but they’re used to being that hot dude like being a beer drunk and like a bit too full yeah maybe that’s the like surely you’d pass that that’s the uncle’s

only one there’s a couple of old ladies in this story yeah and it was like apparently so hard yeah yeah they probably have it even harder than we like we probably our one to them they’re like have you ever done the cold the cold plunge yeah I’ve done the cold shower oh yeah and I’ve jumped into a pool

after a jacuzzi so I’ve lived a really colorful I did the cold plunge yeah yeah that was awesome what was the cold plunge into it was like in Japan at an onsen yeah um into I don’t know

how cold the water was very very cold it was me and like this person who was definitely like an athlete right and she was going back and forth okay yeah and I was like damn one day yeah damn I’d like to be used to that yeah I got in an ice bath recently

at one of these saunas you oh you did it yeah I did it but it was before an ice bath yeah but you did the ice bath first yeah yeah that still counts yeah it was I thought I was gonna die I honestly thought I was gonna die was it that bad yeah that’s really funny that little chapter

where did you do the ice bath I can’t really blow up the spot I was asked to keep it a secret so literally tell me I’ll tell you afterwards yeah yeah respect the promise do you remember at Strand Stranded oh yeah they had oh that’s right

that’s so funny and they had Stranded in Wollongong it’s a recording studio yeah they had like all different studios yeah under one big sort of warehouse roof yeah and they have this little this guy has this little

like freezer like set up yeah like what what even is that like a horizontal yeah it’s like a so funny it’s like this guy is set up like this like DIY like sauna just in Balambi like a little part of like South Gong is it South Gong

um and um yeah it’s so funny it’s like in this warehouse where there’s like a leather worker and like cute little rock and roll recording studio and then like a dude in like basically in like a phone booth like getting his steam his schvitz on and then you like hop into like yeah I think it was like an old chest freezer yeah that’s filled with ice cubes and water

and then like and then back in like standing up in the sauna and he’s there frequently enough for you to like see him well no it’s like a business yeah oh it’s his little business I remember having a break from recording and seeing some old fella like steaming up in the sauna totally yeah yeah it was hilarious it’s awesome really weird and there’s no

no cover or yeah no you’re just out in the warehouse yeah and you just kind of like do the nod like hey I think he was skating around the he was the guy skating around the street that’s awesome long damn what a beautiful life ah so good what do you think that guy that runs the business pays in rent for his house

like you know 100 bucks a week or something like 150 like maybe well like where that fucking there’s this next to prop there’s like prop and then something and then jazzy bits jazzy bits and we were looking at Matt and I were looking at the like how much for that space it’s a pretty fucking big space it’s like double you know two big doors

and a half almost it’s 620 bucks a week wow like fuck that’s cheap oh my god that’s so cheap like if you had a few homies going in yeah but it’s rough as guts inside yeah jazzy bits it needs a big product oh it’s a shop next to jazzy bits oh next to jazzy bits yeah empty one next to jazzy bits like it needs a proper

like tradies to come in and sort it out but like fuck it’s pretty cool to know that like some of this like commercial space yeah is actually you know yeah somewhat achievable like I’m sure prop isn’t paying much for that stupid as soon as we get six people paying

660 bucks each or 10 bucks each we’re in there like cat shit on our blanket you won’t ever get us out and it’s like odd studio uh wine bar small plates yeah we got the dj sets on this friday night yeah exactly pretty fun we were saying we’re gonna make it

byo oh yeah so we don’t have to get a license yeah it’s only byo yeah true this is the um this is our genius loophole that avi came up with it’s byo you’re going to a restaurant and you bring your wine and then you get served like a plate of chips like just leis no not leis like the nice spanish ones

the nice spanish ones done in olive oil yeah yeah and then like yeah we crack your wine for you and it’s like boom now you’re just out of normal yeah no one’s even touching the chips yeah oh people people touch the chips and then when you run out we uh jimmy brings the same bottle of wine that you had and charge you for a huge markup

and that’s how we gated book yeah that’s how we get you yeah that’s the genius business plan realistically like for me anyway it seems like the only way I would get that something like that is if I like moved there like illegally moved into the back yeah and now sleep in a phone box half is the business and half is my rent

sort of thing so yeah but it would be fucking cool to have a little bit of space yeah one day yeah like my partner is doing this like little series about um like vintage not vintage owners but like sort of those

like pretty hardcore like there’s a guy on Addison Road there’s a guy in Croydon or a woman in Croydon and they’ve just I don’t know what to call them it’s sort of like they collect they’re collectors like antiques ah it’s these like shops where like it’s not even clear if it’s a shop or not yeah are you talking about that guy that’s

right near Enmore Park yes yeah and he’s like I’m an artist and he’s clothes and he’s books that’s a great little shop that’s actually when I got stuck in a time machine and duplicated myself exactly he’s old me we just don’t talk exactly we don’t get along but that’s me yeah Gemma was telling me this story about

like talking to one of these types of places there’s a really great one in Croydon shout out and they’re like they handwrite all their signs and they fucking smoke she smokes in the shop hell yeah this is the smoking episode the coolest like I swear her homies like sleep in the back like it’s crazy it’s like they’re living this like 60s acid dream

and they’re just like still in it like all the homies they’re all like 70 wow but yeah they care about their shit a lot they got some beautiful stuff in there but just like Gemma was saying like the rhythms of their like interactions like someone would come by and like drop them a coffee and like really know them and it was like whoa you guys like

had access to this like physical space in a way like you’re like you know you’re having your community be on the street or like be in public you know these little like areas and I think that’s what’s attractive to us about yes you know and it’s like seeing what prop did there like it’s just like whoa

you guys really created a whole thing just with this little shitty triangle and then I say it lovingly yeah the fucking chess table I had a really nice game of chess there yeah but I went past yesterday and there was an ashtray on the table and I was like fuck these two things do go together so I’m like not allowed to play chess avert your heights

yeah so you both still not speaking yeah we’re good and quit we’re not only are we good and quit we’re also being assholes about it we’re like disgusting habit and like in public at the bus stop I’m like yeah I’m like holding my nose when I go park even if they’re on the other side of the street yeah I’m like you stink

I’m just like having my turn to be the grump for once yeah for once nah just kidding but we are like you know we’re patting each other on the back because like it’s been a long road you know what the other day I’ve been pretty good I haven’t really thought about it and then the other day I was like going to see someone who I smoked with

yeah and the whole thought went through my head like not even like I could just have one I was like I’m gonna have a whole packet and it’d be really nice and no one would know about it yeah whoa that’s like yeah you know junky brain junky brain yeah cool I love it I’m gonna secretly get high yeah exactly yeah wow and then I just like went to the gym and I was like

okay yeah we’re not gonna do that yeah when we finally get sued for defamation on this podcast we have to shutter the business yeah we’re gonna declare bankruptcy move to I don’t know Thailand and finally invent a safe cigarette oh and become billionaires

overnight not only safe but like proactively yeah it’s good for your gut biome yeah I would love that wouldn’t that be cool yeah it’s a cigarette made of yogurt IBS cigarette yeah all these fucking people trying to help you quit vape but they’re just like whistles have you seen these ads they’re like just a piece of

metal and it’s like made that sound everyone’s at the pub that’s beautiful I like that yeah that’s probably that’s probably about an hour yeah yeah 63 minutes all right well that’s
