Definitely not school thing. Yeah. Truce like one of the like big things about going out school, isn’t it? Yes. The sweet smoking area, chats or so. We had a rat named that, that is something that is it? You said, well, yeah. Has now been demolished as a. Yeah. Well, it was demolished when I start. There’s still like a little park there. There’s like a little box that

you can’t you can’t smoke that Trask. What? Yeah. It used to be that like the smoking area like when without polished, it was like white in a, quite a good spot. Yeah, canceled. Yeah. You know, a lot of smoke anywhere on campus anymore. Yeah. That’s fine. That’s various that’s showing our age. What? Nasty can don’t worry, cool. You guys have like a nice Smoky. Are you don’t, you know, one of

my teachers accidentally said, oh, it’s time for a smoke break. I mean coffee break. And we’re lying. I know. And she said, yeah, see you outside. See ya, a bad rap listening? They’ve got like NASA’s got like a little Butler’s that come in like light your cigarette? Absolutely. Not, there’s like a bucket of sand for your cigarette butts

and a sign on a tree that just says, These butts in the bucket and it’s picture of cigarette butts. And there’s these buttons on the grass and it’s like someone sitting ha ha ha. That’s cute. You like that? Yeah, yeah. Okay. Well maybe maybe we should she get into it. Yeah.

So this is hung up. My name is Matt. I’m Aiden. And today we’re joined by Alex Sherry who is at prehistory TV on Instagram. Hello. There’s out of your hole at Redux your whole identity. Thank you.

Do we have like a first Topic in that you wanted to hit looking for my Vape while you were something about, like, I don’t know, this new art aesthetic, like, Sydney, something we’re calling like, Sydney Pop. I don’t know if it is that. But like, like artists, like kind of, like, yeah, I don’t know like your stuff and also like, Nick Santoro and like,

Harris. Like, I know if you could call that like a style but like been seeing a lot of that stuff, that’s kind of interesting. I don’t know if you could call it one style but like I’ve heard, I don’t know. I mean, I just paint how I paint and they paint how they And I know it’s not synonymous to Sydney though because people do

that elsewhere to I think it’s just UK America as well. I’ve just heard of it being referred to as like a naive style or like it’s sort of like semi abstraction maybe like representational and abstraction I don’t know if it has a name

it’s just like contemporary painting. Yeah. But Like it’s definitely painting about painting. Yeah, yeah. But like just clearly just like having a lot of fun with it as well. It’s not like overly formal. It’s not like too deep. Yeah. Yeah. That was definitely like the fun and the funny part of it is definitely like it as you saying

like a huge part of it like for sure. So like that Matt Harris was like the one. Where do we see that like Pom-Pom? I went to that as well. Yeah and I was like funny as hell. Yeah.

Ended with a Space. Yeah this is amazing. I can’t even get that scale and it. Yeah, it was so funny. And so like like kind of mean in a way like the koalas like just as we had that massive Bushfire. It was like the koalas going to happen. I just thought that was like, fuck. It was like, bang on. It’s like, yeah, making light of

like a genuinely upsetting thing was just like brilliant to me. Remember that one. I remember the one of like the woman just like looking around, I don’t know. Like, she’s like crawling. On the ground like she’s looking for a glasses or so. Yeah, she was like on a piece of volcanic rock on like next to volcano and it was just cold, like the simple life. Yeah.

What’s going on here? Yeah, those are really excited, think, but it is that like humor, that made them really exciting. Yeah. That’s like and they positioned it really well. I think they had those like in the front window because they were super like juicy. Like so there’s two exhibition space that was just like the front. Yeah, it’s exactly. Yeah, yeah. The kind of had this like double show on Like one quite serious,

like sort of sculpture installation, like found objects stuff and then, yeah, Matt Harris, which was just like, silly and bright. Mmm. Yeah, that was fun. Yeah. Yeah, I don’t know if I’m not, I don’t necessarily think I’m like what even wanting to or trying to like be like yeah, this is this like style and this exists now but it is interesting

because it’s definitely like we had like Corey black on. Yeah. Yeah. Like a couple weeks ago and we asked him where like what do you think about like pop culture? And he’s like, couldn’t give a fuck. Like basically doesn’t exist to me. He’s like my work is like abstract Timeless. It’s like about like processing. Huge like swaths of like it online information but then

like, You know, I was looking at like, a Nick Santo painting and I noticed it had like a the UFC poster in the front like yeah. B vs McGregor and I’m like this, you know, this is more of like this has to be, you know? Yeah, this is to talk about that. Yeah, in a way. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, yeah. You you give a fuck about pop

culture, then. Yeah, definitely, yeah. It’s like a massive reference in my work. Cool. Like and like what else like do you have? Like because I was trying to say to Aid in earlier like Like, I don’t just want to ask you like, like, what’s your favorite artists, or like, whatever. You know, like, I want to know, like the kind of experiences

that like, got you doing what you’re doing? You know? Like, I’m sure it’s not just that, like, you know, we live in like this kind of Pop Culture world, right? Yeah. Now, it’s like, I mean, I have like things that I like, but yeah, a lot of them are like rooted in pop culture way more

than likes a philosophy. Just because I mean, yeah, He said it because I like just came out of my master’s like a year ago and there was a lot of like, who are you writing about? And I was like, I’m watching these movies like I just, I don’t know. I didn’t really throw it. I did a very loose reference to someone who referenced a

philosopher. Like it was like a step removed. Yeah. But like I like I watched a lot of nature. Dockers that’s a number 1 and then read a lot of Nat Geo magazines National. Geographic Magazines, I’ve got a huge Huge stack of them in my studio. So, and then from there, like I

also like watch a lot of cartoons, I mean, I mean, not lately, but like I have so but like, particularly more like cartoons from like the 90s because they were animated like, you like early Simpsons. I was just going to say. Yeah, well, like Rocko’s Modern Life. I was watching that those 90s like at the the season, 1

Simpsons clips and the animation is so much. It’s like so much more. Held then the later. Yeah like sets done by hand today, animation cells. And then how they do it now is like digital and it’s lost its flavor. Yeah. So yeah, that’s so polished everyone hates the new and me to like the new set like contemporary Cinema is just like

everyone to become. Yeah, it’s kind of perfect in a way it’s like Gone, full circle. Became the like thing that it like predicted it would become if you like if you like watch it with the kind of cynical view that I feel like the Riders have about America like yeah, but like everything gets ruined. And like, tribes can be president like and all that shit. Construe.

Now, it’s become exactly what it was mocking. I can’t believe it’s still here. I wish it would stop and they would fucking can it if it ended in the teeth that like it didn’t survive the Millennium, I think? Yeah. It’s all didn’t make the transition. I couldn’t fit through the membrane like safely, I just dial. Yeah, but my fucking favorite writers, David Foster Wallace. He has a take on like the why

The Simpsons like exactly why? I no longer like was hitting good and he was like, oh yeah. It was like, you know, use Irony, as it’s fucking thing like as its jam and he was like, at the time, it was coming out, like irony was like, doing good work. It was like pointing to like systems that were corrupt and it was like blowing them up.

But then like I think like with its decline it was getting to a point where like that wasn’t enough. Like that’s not what we needed to feel like that didn’t feel like cultural critique anymore like just being right ironic. Yeah that was his take and I guess that’s a kind of I don’t know. I still feel like I have like

two feet in that problem. Like, with like the internet, like the internet has like taken over, I don’t know what the Simpsons was doing. Like sure like. Yeah, super ironic hyperlocal like 5 million times like Chopped and Screwed memes kind of. Like, I don’t know to like poke fun at like how fucked things

are or whatever. Yeah. We’re like The Simpsons just doesn’t have the bandwidth to like be that. Yeah, Houghton anymore. But it’s still. I don’t know. I think it’s just a style of humors changed like as things change. It’s just nothing has that longevity for 30 years and you know, it’s true. It’s done. So yeah. Yeah, I’m wondering what like means?

We’ll stick around from this time. Like, are we going to be like, within? I don’t want to think about that old magic dinner humanity and our oldest is gone, and then some alien lands on Earth and then they’re like, what is the artifact frog? Frog content on Tick-Tock or something, and it’s like enough.

And that’ll be like the new like that piece of that carving. That’s like in space though. Yeah, people go like this. Yeah. And then instead of that and be like something, oh, look like Pepe the frog. God damn it. Yeah, that’s a bit of a grim. Thought is interesting that you’re talking about like

cartoons from the 90s because man, I are like, always talking about the 90s, it really. A lot of people always talk about the nine. Yeah. Like is this. I’m feeling bad like this Township. Perhaps, oh my God, we’re talking about this with a friend being like, where did you shop? Like in the early 2000s and it was like, I hated everything, but I don’t wear something. Where did you shop in the early

2000? I mean, penrith Plaza on from the mountain. So yeah today. Yeah. And then we got into a discussion about the Peridot or not Paradox. The the mystery of where did that giant fruit bowl, statue, go, and then now, no one seems to remember, it accepted me into

friends and we’re like It was there. I’m Stella if I had a guy that’s my roommate about this please penrith Plaza. Yes. Okay cool. Yeah. Giant fruit bowl statue, go faster. A big sculpture. It was like public art. It was indoors, it’s very ugly. That’s and now it’s gone been going for a long time and now people don’t remember it and I

was like I remember it like it was yesterday. Excuse me, it’s a Steve-O. It was there. The case has gone cold but we’re gonna it’s gone stone cold. We’re gonna solve that case. We’re gonna do if anyone would care to open this. I don’t think anyone would. I think? Huh guys, why?

Yeah, we’re coming out of retirement. We’re coming out of our detective retirement in someone’s house somewhere. Have you fucking guys being to paramour? Do you know that place Paramore called? Param all know, it’s like when Pamela yeah it’s in Parramatta reminds me of that. It’s like yeah this is where small aesthetic janitor my

fucking crazy because it’s like weird to put dilapidated like everything’s like just been abandoned. And and you can still walk through there. There’s little tiled and like yes, just I’d so crazy. Like, I got a soft spot for like those like plazas like Asheville Plaza. And yes, are equally like the old marrickville Metro and shit. Like yes, pretty fucking great.

Yeah, everything there was on the same color, like sure it’s always that beige, like, tiling and then so much glass true and then like that. And I just some artificial environment. It’s very weird and a food court. I think there’s something safe and like there’s yeah, whether I like I grew up in Queensland. But I could like be in Queensland, or I could be in

fucking, you know, for Metro. I could be in the Metro and I’m like, I was aware of the food court. Maybe if you enter food court, you can exit at another food cause they’re all connected. One thing we wanted to ask you was like, what’s your kind of feeling, like, what’s Your Gut instinctive feeling about the, like, Sydney art scene right

now? Does it make you want to go to Berlin, hola? I’d love to go to Berlin. I mean, that’s a very broad question. Like I mean I’m gonna Sydney art scene. Yeah, that’s why we’re asking you, I want like a health check. Hell. I can stick your finger up its bomb and tell me if it’s healthy.

I’ve no idea. I mean, I’m just trying to, like, do what I’m doing and so is everyone else? I don’t know. Like, I think there’s pockets of the Sydney art scene, like, people are doing quite different things. Hmm. So, it depends like if you’re a sculptor, you’re aiming for different things and what a painter might be aiming for to what Printmaking might be aiming for photographers, aiming for

sure. And everyone sort of does like just say like the Sydney art scene and it’s like, there’s like so many little subcategories and little groups of people and then like groups, meet other groups and things expand. And then I mean, that’s just what networking is. But like, I mean, I’m happy to

be here, but I’d also love to like go overseas again. I’ve shown overseas a couple of times, really cool. So, but that was because they Thought I lived over there just found me on Instagram that’s so good. That’s the power of the Internet. It’s like when you don’t to put where you’re located people will just be like hey can you get on the train and do this?

And I’m like I would love to but I live in Australia. So tell us that story. Like what happened? Well that was a few years ago when I was in first year of my Master’s and then I just got this DM on Instagram from a director of a little gallery. Nottingham England, and he

thought I was in London and then I’ll sort of somewhere in the UK like a bigger city. I think it was thought I was in London and then he was like, can you do you want to do? Like, I like your work. I like to offer you show like, you know, and then like can you do it at on these dates? And I was like, no. Like I can’t, they’re also like

it. You should know right away that I like live in Sydney Australia. He was like all right. Okay and then but then I had like one this scholarship Coincidentally to go to the UK for two months and then I was like well the scholarship I can go sort of like at the end of the course work for the year. So can we just move the show

like an idol swap with someone in the calendar? And then this is like not related to UNI like this show. I just did it while I was on the scholarship. That’s so cool because it’s like, I’m already I’m done of the money yet but I will. And then I can that’s what’s meant to fly me over there. And then like, when I got there, there wasn’t a scholarship because it was at the Glasgow

School of Art, Which burned down. Oh my God. So, I just got the prize money, the price still exists, still existed, but there was no way to do it. So I was just in England being like well, okay, I’ll just like immediately go to Manchester. Like I’ll just fly sitting to Manchester and then go straight

to Nottingham on the train. I had a suitcase full of paintings. Wow! And then we just started installing, like the next morning and then he was like, so how’s this? What’s the scholarship? And also, I will like, I’m just going to go to a lot. Of museums and things and document like a lot of stuff from archives and things because that’s relevant to my work. But I don’t have a studio or

anything. So I just traveled around and like, lived out of a backpack. Wow, yeah, yeah, yeah. Twist with the fucking school now, I like made. Yeah. I would just like made my own scholarship. Like I had the money but I like had nowhere to go and I was like, wow, that’s really freeing because I could just and museums are free in the UK.

So, I just was like, well, I’m just go. Everywhere. And I didn’t have to sit the exhibition and it was on for a month. So I was like, I’ll see you in a month and I was went all over the place. Yeah. It’s cool though. It’s sort of saying to me that, like, like, your style, like translates, like, you know, like he thought, like oh she lives just down the road, but I was in

the UK and then I met other artists like while. I was in the UK and we had a similar style and they were like, oh, are you from London? And I was like, no, I’m from Sydney. Yeah. And then like I’ve shown in America five times and It was same thing like they look. Can you can you get this to me and it’s like a once again, I’m not from yeah, California.

It’s just a style. That’s like, I mean, I don’t know, like everyone says style, but it’s kind of like anyone. I know who’s doing this sort of, like, can’t fund, can every painting. No one’s really overlaps that much. It’s like, everyone’s kind of got their Niche there. Absolutely. And I don’t know anyone doing what I’m doing. I don’t know anyone doing what my friends are doing kind of,

but it’s sort of Has this like style that I suppose you can sort of like some sort of category. But I think that’s very interesting because we kind of came like, like, prepared to be like, like what is it about the like Sydney thing like but I don’t know, no. But like I think you just kind of like I’m Sean. Oh sorry, nice wide like wide open because it’s like a turns

out. Like from what you’re saying is like it’s kind of an international like movement. That’s going on. Yeah, for sure. I follow like a lot of galleries. From like all around the world. I got Instagram and they like I’m a big believer of like, making friends on the internet and like in the hopes that you will one day like, you know,

shake hands and person sort of thing. And like I’ve always kind of done like easy internet in that sort of way. And it’s like it’s nice because that that actually has happened, like many times throughout my adult life is like, oh my God, I know you from like this game. We used to play or this is website or there’s some or Twitter or Instagram. Something like that and then,

you know like you just that’s what’s faults for connecting with people but there’s so many galleries that are like this is the style that we show and it’s like fun paintings out of really bright and then it’s like another one will show. Like they’ll be like a you know some will be like more abstract.

Some might be like more representational or like what they depict like there may be a theme Loosely at a gallery like some will be like more revolving around. Round non-representational, sort of work but it’s like more fun or like I don’t know. Like I think it’s just like one part of contemporary paintings. Yeah, it’s totally a genre.

That’s like a fucking on right now. I think it’s not because it’s now we don’t have a name for but maybe in the future respectively did not fear name the other? Yeah, the right job. Students will have to call it something. Yeah, goofy painting. I don’t know if that’s a good. Are used to it goofy a lot and I’m like, that’s what it is. That’s a really good point

because I think I felt that when I was like why does this feel like it’s? It’s like why do these works or this? It feels yet. Like it is very stylish and stylized I suppose. But yeah if you try and like Categorize them too tightly just starts to slip away. Yeah. And hey if someone doesn’t fit together and yeah, I mean some

do like, you know, it’s like curatorial is speaking at you can put people together and it does fit but like everyone individually. It’s like doing quite very much their own thing and then it’s still you know, maybe all that links them is like color or like yes, you know, looseness of

brush or maybe the opposite or yeah. It’s still very much like hard to put people together or it’s easy to put people together in multiple situations because things can fit together, multiple ways. So, like streamline into one thing.

Yeah, there’s something funny about make fun in painting because I do feel like compared to like all the other shit we do, like, watch movies or like get drunk. Like, do drunks like, have sex, like going to see paintings like kind of boring. So it’s almost like, when I I just realized they could make fun paintings.

It almost got like a double fun Point. Yeah, something there’s like, a bit fun in a painting people. Oh my fucking God. Yeah, this is so fun. Yeah, I Define like it’s a cool thing. Well this one that you know we couldn’t find the artist but they were just in like the anti Gallery flood relief and it was like you know like hot food to go.

It’s like the Sydney like the red and yellow. Yeah. Hot chips and just like a flattened. It was almost like a wallpaper of that this kind of fits. To this like that’s fine. Nothing. Which is a box. Yeah, yeah, exactly. But at the same time you had a know, I said I would love to you guys like talk more about like even like laughing and galleries like we went to the post-grad

review and if you know like the white pube was talking about them like yeah I follow them. Yeah. And they’re like causing fucking scenes and galleries all the time but it’s like still overall. The gallery is still quite a quiet experience. Compared to a gig like the pub just a chat right? Like yeah. Fun.

I think it should still be like a quiet issue experience, but it shouldn’t be silent like. Yeah. Thank you like yeah. Have a giggle. Have a laugh. Have a talk? But like, yeah. I don’t know. Yeah, I don’t know either. We’re like, we’re like famously. Like well, not famously, but you and I in particular, I like,

we’re like bold in a sense in the gallery maybe to like over stretch it to like, make a comment about how it’s such a like Stark and his always been like such a restricted place like socially, you know? Like, yeah, it’s like, I think like eight and definitely gave this to me. And now, I like pretend like a fucking came up with it, but

it’s like, it’s like a resistance to that. He’s just giving me the hand. Gesture of like it’s yours. Now, you can do it, you can do it, you can have it. It’s really put the oven on. This is part of you now. Yeah, I don’t know, but it definitely like, I mean what you’re talking about sounds like more like the daytime of like a gallery, but like, if you’re there on opening night, it’s

pretty Rowdy. That’s true. That’s true. Then you go like, but they got it there and you get opening night. Like, you don’t even look at the heart. No, I can’t even say it because there’s so many people. It’s just a socialized. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can’t take it in your, you be with people? Yeah, I usually try. And I now, I like the like I

went to the see the first draft opening and like, a friend of mine was Coming back. I was like, trying to see the art and I was like, you know, this is just stupid like, like trying to look past people’s heads and shit. Yeah I definitely like I love going to openings but like I definitely go back on another day and have a good look at it. Like and that’s he’s when I wanted to be quiet because I can take it in because I’ve come to see what people have worked on.

But yeah, it’s nice to have like this is the night for this and this is the day for this. Yeah, it’s really cool. They just opened prop like right near my house. I live in Ashfield and it’s so cute. It’s so cool to have a gallery. Like hundreds Steps away, I can like going That’s Cooling and like clearing its got like glass windows but I didn’t see any of the show but it’s fucking cool

Gallery. Yeah, nice. Yeah. That’s cooking Tomatoes. Okay, so the oven is on everyone, we’re nearly ready to rock it. Gold tomatoes in the in the tray house smells nice. We got chicken stock Bruin. Yeah. No it smells like a proper like babushkas like home waiting for her 45 year old son to come home

from the coal mine, Man Cheats people. Good as yours. Run its me Goodwill. Same on Mondays. Sure ain’t gots bed. Very well. Here, I even have some dessert for all of us actually. Oh my God. It is developed the like um steps on like and reflex of like walking in the door then immediately opening up the

fridge, which I find very endearing. I love it. Yeah. Well, I’ve been watching heaps of Seinfeld. Yeah, creme is number one, you’re doing a crime. It doesn’t immediately even Jerry and it’s like the ultimate sign of closeness. And there’s, it’s what I’ve always liked. Make it there was a creme is such a mooch but it’s yeah. Yeah. But he loves Jerry because yeah, they love each other.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He lived across the hall. Yeah. It’s just being here all the time. Lovely Apartments. Locked down in here. That’ll be cool. Yeah. Yeah. Why don’t you friends like there and then someone? They’re okay with the whole thing. Yeah, it’d be so good. That’s like the isn’t that the dream? It’s like you have your own houses but you all live in the same thing like yeah, that would

be sick. Yeah. Architect I saw his show and it was exactly that it was like a big fucking With like six houses and then these like paths like linking them. Fucking hell. You can just like, dude be without friends, but not have to like smash it. So whatever. That’s my second like architecture take today that has come true by the mouth of an architect.

You guys want to hit my first? Well actually, it’s actually really boring. I’m loud.

We’re back, we’re back a little pause brownie. Break. Non-active brownies, pick up before anyone gets any stupid ideas? Yeah, I’m not that kind of thing. At this show we’re professional on the are not on it. We’re saying we want to talk a bit about like Alex is studio and the actual paintings. Yeah.

Do you want to like like run us through how you’re How does art work for you? At least. Christians are so Vicki. How does that work? Or even give. See how does it get on the camera? We got one shot to give you a true answer ever. So, don’t say anything you would regret and make sure every word is perfect.

If you don’t mind, good God. Just kidding. Obviously in case that wasn’t it.

Well what did you what did you do today? Like I can see you got paint on your arms so there’s some oh yeah, so it’s red pain. It’s not blood didn’t hurt myself. Yeah, why not? I can tell I can tell the difference. Um so I’m working on some stuff for us for a show. I’ve got some car paintings in the work and some computer

paintings in the works. 40 working on those today. Yeah. And then would you like, would you be okay? Like describing your Like like where and what is your studio? Like we were talking about it in the break, but something to get it on. On are so I’ve got a studio in marrickville.

Did you say what is my studio? Yeah, like do, share the space with people. So there’s I think there’s 10 of us there. Whoa, okay. But like there’s individual Studios So now I don’t share my studio. I have my own cool but I got a lot of Neighbors which is cool. How does that work?

I’ve always wondered about that because I like to listen to music when I’m doing shit like that. It does everyone have their own? Everyone’s headphones headphones? Yeah, that’s a no one’s listening to a Bluetooth speaker. There’s one floating around, but like we don’t use it that much. Okay. So people are kind of being like consider like, are they like trying to be considerate of

other people’s spaces and stuff? Like it sounds like a nice chilled. It’s nice, chill Vibe. I mean but also like I just want to listen to my own stuff as well and like here like I don’t know, I’m not sure if I’ve got like the best hearing so like I do have my own headphones in otherwise I’m just going to miss like sure that’s why I do that

but also I just want to get in my own Zone and just I’ve got stuff to Done. So yeah, it’s like the fucking gym. You can’t just be listening to that default. Soundtrack you need your own higher. Yeah I went to the gym the other day and I was like I hate I don’t wear headphones in the gym I’m like no just me and Ian and I was, I know everyone’s noises.

Yeah, but they play everyone’s function noises but they do play like show you don’t want headphones David really cheesy like almost like royalty free like pump up pop. Yeah it’s like a cheetah Jim. So thank you too bad. It’s real. The middle of the road, like yes, stock music. Exactly. And I was like, I just wish they wouldn’t play it.

Like I wish they wouldn’t play it, but then I went on the weekend and like the fucking workers or whatever want their the like gym manager. So it was just completely silent. It was like, Wow, silence. This is way more fucked like that was really uncomfortable, right? Just like just the weights going like Ting, Ting, Ting Ting and the a bill being like, I was

like, and they’ve already phones on already, so it’s fine. No one can hear themselves. In this like weird silent. Like what is the sound of one man? With no headphones out of? Yeah, sounds really like Falls philosophical, but it’s all four. And then they have this little fucked up TV. That’s always got like seven mate on it.

So I just watching Mike the skiing or like racing. It’s like just all like slow TV because one that was fucked. It was just a show of like people’s tick-tocks. Like I was like And then like the iPhone.

Like Frank doesn’t fit the TV exactly on the side and just Tick-Tock let me guess. It’s probably Tick-Tock sort of like two months old but I finally made it to the mainstream media like we’ve done this song that we’re done it. Yeah, it’s done like Funniest Home Videos, T are like people falling over and shows weird? That’s the worst for you page

content. It means I haven’t Dover. Yeah, it’s a complete. Like out of the box is kind of. If you think about it, let’s say just like literally like I don’t even know if they have to physically like manually download these ticked up maybe someones picking take dogs, and then they just like send it out and then maybe they just get money back. Yeah, or something.

Yeah, that’s such a sick job. Yeah, that person is you checked out my Golem take Life TV. Like I got my chicken soup. I really be like, yeah, what am I tick? Tocks. Gotta eat a still has some Power Man, TV has a lot of power. I think we tried to like kill it but like, Like I’ll be watching TV. I kill it. Yeah, what are you watching?

Alex, you watch TV whenever TV? I don’t know what on York. I’m not one of those people that doesn’t have a TV that I just don’t have a TV. I don’t have a laptop. Yeah, yeah. Well, I haven’t watched a show for a while like I watch like movies, but like, I don’t know. I don’t have a lot of time like I work in the evenings, or I’m

at the studio in the evenings and like or I’m out like I don’t know where a TV fits into my life anymore.

I haven’t owned one since I left home. Yeah. And then like I don’t know. I’ve never liked fit a like you know, in a share house lounge room. You just sort of have like couches and arm chairs and a coffee table in the middle. And it’s like, more for like everyone hang around just talking and yeah, eating and stuff. There is no like, TV unit with a TV.

I mean, you’ve got one here, but it’s got like tea towels drying. It’s also essential Reckless one. Yeah. He’s like eating hot parents do.

Yeah. It’s like gather around the fire yet. It’s a TV. Yes. But I do think like that is a cool tank but I do think like the more like standard take is like your fuck TV. I don’t have a TV but I watch like Mad TV like on my laptop. Most of us to show in like Ages.

I don’t know, I’ll watch the second episode of something and then Bay. Like, anyway, I’m going to the pub with friends, I don’t know, I didn’t care. I just, I will, but like, I’ll just like see two episodes of something in then someone will talk about. And I’ll be like, oh yeah, that show. And I might, I don’t know what happens, like every conversation is a spoiler, and I’m like, fine, I’m going to watch it.

So, just tell me what happened. Used to be like that. Just like you. And then the fucking covid, pandemic happened. And now, I have a TV in my fucking main space. And I actually I don’t use it that much but yeah the fucking pandemic really gummy bat way back into a nice to have it. Cool actually mostly watch

YouTube on that thing which is kind of fucked but I got a lot of people that I follow on YouTube now and it’s all fucked. It’s just, it’s probably better than what’s on TV than I don’t know. I mean, yeah. Maybe yeah, I keep I keep watching to ensure. I wouldn’t know. I mean, I don’t know. Just like not I don’t know. It just doesn’t fit in my life

for a moment. I like it. Good movies like hard. I mean, yeah, also when I have time, but like I’m rather what I suppose like, I mean I look at a lot of like, things from movies for my studio and then I ended up doing a lot of that in my Master’s. So then I just watched, I mean, I probably could have read a lot

more books, in my masters, but I was painting so much. I just didn’t have time. And then, like, just preparing for stuff like outside of uni, as well. So, it was kind of just like, the studio, like painting was number one. Just get this paper done but like be happy with it. Doesn’t have to be the best paper in the world but like back to that pop culture.

We talked about before. It’s like pop culture is like from minutes with pop culture is so like like I had a like I spoke a lot about like cars in my paper when I say about cars like just like you don’t have to go full detail but I like I like

I’m a car head. So I like a car. Hey yeah I’m like I mean I like head. Yeah, person. I paint a lot of cars. Yeah. I started painting them. Like I did my first car painting on like the last day of second year at nasse. And then I like went into third

year and I was like, cool. I got this car painting. Like, I think this is what I want to do and then I’ll like add other stuff in. I also want to paint like dinosaur fossils, so I’ll just like, put them together and like I’ll make sense of it later, but like, this is what I want to paint. Now I’m justify it after the fact always paint first What about it later? Pain again, worry about it later like just, you know, have fun

with it, Mike around. But like I grew up watching like a lot of Seinfeld and a lot of The Simpsons and like both of those have like those boxy sedans. Yeah yeah yeah. So Jon Voight scar. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jon Voight.

But it’s like the wrong John-Boy. If it like all the cars on Seinfeld alike very cool 90s 80s by, Oxy sedans and so like, I like to put those in my paintings. Same with like just the cars in The Simpsons are more like nonspecific models of cars.

Like they don’t have like a badge on them or anything. They just they never do. They all don’t home is cast just a pink sedan. Yeah. It’s a Grille in the front. There’s nothing. When it’s I cause on The Simpsons. They’re like like make fun of Brands very occasionally. Like remember the canyon are oh, oh yeah. Yeah, yeah. It’s not like that. It’s like but it’s like They make it up like it’s more of a

comment on like America then like actual cause that’s more fun. I think, I think when they make it up, also it’s like a copyright thing because they do that in GTA. Like if you’ve played Grand Theft Auto. Yeah. Okay. So like they base the cars off of real life cars but they give them like a different name. Yeah. So like I’m working on one in my

studio and it’s like of the like, in Vice City, but I think it’s in a, for of the other games. You can find the car and it’s called like the cheetah. Oh yeah. And it’s like But it’s really fast car. Yeah, but it’s like and it’s like bright yellow and then I think in one of the other games, it’s like a nice like deep blue. But like, it’s just like a

muscle car but it’s like it looks pretty random but it like in the game it’s like, oh it’s called the cheetah but actually it’s a Ferrari like Testarossa from like the 80s. Cool and that’s that’s a real car. But they can’t call it that because otherwise Ferrari will be like um yeah so that yeah the cheetah and then I had like a

DeLorean in the game as well but that’s called like The deluxe or something. Yeah. But like I paint Deloreans a lot too, but I just call it a DeLorean. Yeah. Because in a painting you can just do like a painting of something and be like, through the. It’s this. So it’s like, yeah, it’s literally living and dying by, it’s like cars. Like so the latest GTA like GTA 5, the game is so fucking old

like oh yeah, like eight years old, 17 years old and it’s on everything about it. It’s on every platform. So it’s even on the new, like PS5 has been through. Yeah, two full Cycles know, Is. Oh yeah. Actually I saw a screenshot of the like lead characters. Yeah. So a screen shot of the lead character that they that they had like re Moss.

Yeah, this graphic and it looks kind of fucked. It looked like a mad had been like squished through a panda was something like his. Oh yeah, just looks so like flat. It was weird. I was really into it. I love that immense video game. Yeah, it’s so funny. I like it? Yeah, make the shape of the figure. Yeah, and it’s like polygonal. Like this is again like this is

just should hone in on my stereo. It’s like Tell us like and I was like I’ll just like okay no worries. Oh yeah. So like you know these like worlds and like creatures and all people or cars like everything’s mapped out of

polygons. Yeah. Like everything’s like a polygonal world. Yeah. But then like it’s it’s called like skinned. Like that’s what it’s coated in is like that texture like, yeah, you know, a polygonal like mountain is skinned in like this. Rocky texture with snow on it or something like that but it’s like sometimes it’s like stretched in some bits.

Yeah, it’s never perfect. But like I like that about it because it’s kind of looks a bit funny and it’s like yeah it’s a difference between reality and video games like this. It’s like an approximation. Yeah. And you make up for it like with your own. I like you know what it is. So you sort of like you know, makeup like you sort of like, okay. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Like I do live in the world.

Like I don’t need it this to look like the world but it’s like Hey look, it’s close enough. And that’s why people’s like that characters face is just like, put on like a block of. Yes, polygons. And that’s not going to be perfect. Yeah. And neither with the cars or everything’s just a bit wobbly or like. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. That’s my problem that I really like it.

That’s the problem that I had with the new like that. Like, remastering of the guy cuz it’s like, that’s what I love about. Yeah. It’s like stop remastering. Let it doesn’t have to be had a sweet spot in 1990s and 2000’s like true. I cast and stuff. Yes, it looked down upon my God. Yes, one a lot because I got an emulator on my laptop and that’s

saved my lockdown. And so I replayed the Spyro Trilogy and the gex trilogy. And then I don’t know if you’ve played, I mean, surely I played either those spider. Yeah. I love Spire. That was like one of my childhood like it’s so it’s such a beautiful game. God it’s like I love that game

like. Yeah, fire. You if the dragon? Yeah. Inside fucking games, it look like that and I was because I was going to that style of Animation. That was that’s my favorite. Like one of my favorite looks for a game is that we’re trying to go full realism and it just upsets me. It’s like, it doesn’t mean that it’s like, yeah, you’re like, we already live in the world.

I don’t know what it looks like, and I’m coming here for another. I don’t need to like, I’m outside. If I want to play a game, I’ll go inside and touch a controller. Like, I don’t need to leave in a real video. Game world and the world I live in. Also, I don’t need the graphics of the game to look better than our world through. These are not weird. That’s what they need to be

unhappy with the reality of a, like all that tree is really like my eyes and not rendering that properly but the game, you know what I like, it’s enough. Yeah, we’re like touching on like photorealist shit as well or subreddit like the art. Someone does it end? But you know what’s funny is

like how good can a camera be or how good can a game look? It doesn’t have to look so smooth. I like winning. Pointy and Scratchy the rising. Yeah, that was awesome. Fucking like throwback games that I find like, aren’t that fun? Because I really like, we’ll just have pixel art or whatever.

I’m like, no, it wasn’t just the art, it’s also likes the story. It really sexy gameplay. Yes, exactly. Exactly. It’s about World building. And that’s what you do in like movies and books. It’s like your world building and like you’re creating this like weird scape with, like these things. And you’re here to do this, this and this and collect this.

And that’s it doesn’t matter that that hair on a character. It’s like every individual hair. Why like make it a block of polygons and let’s like move through this. Like make something fun. Yeah else is like let’s get to the volcano like yeah it’s just someone important but my curve Pro it’s just such a definite progression.

Like yeah stretches some kind of like yeah, no logical. Yeah. She’s yeah. It’s just keep making money. Like that’s a thing. It just keeps making these fucking guys. Money went out of those fun games because now everything’s a first person shooter game and I don’t want to play that open well or open. Well, yeah, and it’s like, I

just like the dawn of 3D Platformers instead. Yeah. And then, I just want to sort of tie that to painting and then but I do make like technology sort of painting because also, I mean, I don’t know what’s that, just like a painting. Just going beep. Boop, beep. Like I’ll just bring it back to

painting, but this is my reference.

And then obviously like painters as well, but like, like I have certain pain is that. I like, but also video games and like National Geographic Magazines. Cool and movies. Oh yeah, you did. Ask you about cars and movies. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Talk a bit more about cars. Tell us about cars. Yeah, we got. So we got two video games but

yeah cars. Yeah. So okay. So I’ve I mean one, That I really like and always liked as a kid, was the ectoderm, a bill from Ghostbusters? And so I was like, obviously, all of this, it’s like I put this in my thesis and just hope for the best. And I was like, I like was like,

I’m after the painting Market, the paper. No one’s going to read it. And if you do then enjoy, there’s a lot of, like, things in there that are like definitely from TV and not from like some dead philosopher. Cool. But the Automobile. Anyway, is like it’s more than just a car.

It’s like a character in the movie and it’s like for an unreleased like it’s a step outside of the real world. Again, like a game or like a book or a painting. It’s like, you know, it’s painted white like a ghost, it’s got these tools and things on it and it’s just used for the sole specific purpose of hunting ghosts and it’s like I why we

don’t make movies like that anymore or games or anything. And it’s you don’t see it in like the parking lot of am. No, absolutely not. Strange. That’s what I mean, you still look nice buses Universe. Yeah. And so I don’t, I watch that

again, like, through in my MFA to, this is so much time. I should have been like, go to the library, and then it’s like Ghostbusters the victim erbil and then so like, so like I sort of broke it down more and ones like, yes, this is why this is important because this is part of that world building and You

like, you know, you create this character like this sort of personification ran this car. And so, and I was like, oh my God, that’s what I do in my studio because my cars are all about like, hunting fossils, and not hunting, but like searching for fossils. So, like, I’ll like, like, I came up with a snake car. Yeah.

In like undergrad. Yeah. With the tongue and the fangs, and like I was my teachers were like, perplexed, because they were like, what? Cause he’s a snake car, like, that’s fine. But why where did this come from? That’s like, but why can’t you have a car that is like instead of like you know the stagnant the the stationary like

photographer Hut. Yeah. Tree made out of like bark and stutter you camp out in that. Why can’t it be funny? And just be like a car that looks out from The Simpsons. Yeah, but it’s got scales all over and a big floppy tongue and I was like, that’s my work. That is what this is. And then they’re like, why? And I was like well why not like yeah and then because In a

painting like I’ve done it. So and then I was like, I’m just going to keep doing it. And then there was a whole back-and-forth about like, you know, where this is going. And it was like, well, I’ve painted so many different cars now and it’s like part of the world that I am building and I have built so far. And it’s fun to like create

these things in your work, and it’s like, it doesn’t, it’s not, it’s just painting, it’s just, it doesn’t have to be so, Serious serious. I can just have fun with it. Like I’m the one who’s got to look at it and do it for the rest of my life. Like I’ve chosen this path. I like left uni to go to art school and it’s like I’m doing

this now. So, like, I’m having fun doing this. And I’m creating this world with these cars in it and then, you know, and they’d like, sort of follow the same sort of purposes, the ekdum erbil, but they like for looking for the fossils from nature, Dockers hyung’s, or living Wildlife today and it’s really cool too. Give it in terms of world-building because I think.

Yeah, there is some like, really, really like to me anyway and like, like something really especially in like, like you can talk it’s cool to like go from video games to paintings. But for me like paintings, have something very, very special. And it is that like walking into a gallery and feeling like, I’m in these, like new inexplicable world.

Like, yeah. Well, done a painting and I like, you know, I would love going to a gallery like like in the UK or whatever here and I’m on this. Easy Street. And then I’m just in this room and I’m with these worlds. And it is just, yeah, it’s like nothing else. And it’s like, it’s instant and it’s like Lo-Fi or not Lo-Fi, but it’s like, you know.

Yeah. Like fire. Like a video game, right? Yeah. Like I don’t need my fucking console. It hasn’t been no power just so much. Like, yeah, Knology and his, it’s just like, I don’t have to understand keeps us to access access this room full of things. I can just enter have a look. Be like, wow, this whole room is

like, one person is created this. Psych, you know, in their head they’re sort of curated, these works and sort of chosen. These are the ones for the show and it’s like you, what is this person? What if they made where are we? And it’s that’s that like is what like shows are about, but you know, it’s fun to just sort of like muck around and make it more about like, Other things

like it doesn’t have to be about life and death. If you want to make art about like the supermarket then go and do it. Fuck yeah. That’s why are we have a policy about? We look at the room sheet like maybe later if we really like. Yeah I look at it at the end. I don’t want to like read it first. I’ll like look at the works first and then I’ll like read the room Sheet later. Or I forget to take the room sheet.

Yeah. Like a note, down the person’s name and be like I’ll check out their Instagram and then by yes seems like a much more fun. To do it then. Like I’m shooting to rely on the shade. Yeah, you need the sheet to be like sometimes like the only time I find it really does it sound as if there’s like some

like, I don’t know cultural information or something. I was like, oh yes and no idea about that. Yes, wouldn’t know. Yeah, where’s this from? Or what are they saying? Oh, I care. Cool. And then, yeah, absolutely. It’s like a tongue and death sir, but I was like, I thought it was a cup of coffee, cool. Like I still nice to have a look at that detail, a cup of coffee first and like, and my feelings

about that and then Revisit if I were to. Yeah, that’s the whole fucking point. I really like I think this like everything you’re saying, like this attitude, it really does feel like it’s the new, like, dominant feeling of like artists like no, fuck you. Like, I’m just making it as like, we’ve been talking about this. We’re like, I, even wrote like a

little, like, like letter to myself, like, a few lines of, like, like the thing. You’re saying, like, you, like the painting comes first. Yeah, the why if ever comes after it’s like, it’s like, meaning is made of form, like, we’ve been saying this, right? Yep. Fuck like that’s what I’m saying. Trying to like write a thesis about your painting and you do the painting like yeah I don’t know how that work.

Some people have managed to do that and they’ve gotten like a really good Mark and I’m like hats off to you. I wrote my paper in three weeks, I don’t know, but I don’t recommend doing that but anyone from NASA listening to this, please don’t run your paper in three weeks. Yeah, I mean it was a time I just listen to house music and was like, okay, right, let’s get into it then.

I know I must start. I like cannot focus. I like can Even I’ll like I just read so many, like bits of things and was like, that’s like, okay, I’ve taken that in. Okay. Now, swiftly move on to the next thing. And it was like, no, I really? Like, I don’t know. I just spent all the time painting and then I was like, I think there was a period in

second year where it was like second year of Masters where he people. I knew everyone around me was writing and like some teachers also I like how you going and I was like yeah good good and it was like two months went by and I did not even open my computer and I was like Don’t know how that happened, but I got so much painting done and I like taught

myself to sew and I made soft sculptures. And, like, I made like a white giant volcano and like, pickaxe. And like I made a Macintosh computer, that was like soft like and I like painted the keyboard meticulously, and I was like, oh my God, the thesis like, yeah. You know, I haven’t like written chapter one and like, you know,

and I was like, right, okay? Like and then just was like, well, I know what I’m doing, because I’ve spent the year painting. So now I just have to sort of look around and be like, Right. And then just sort of spit it back out and just put it into a computer. Come, come out of the other way. Computer also died during part of that three weeks, my computer just completely cocked it and I

had to like rush in with like a hard drive. Save everything like it was a house burning down. I was like right, got my travel photos, got my paper and then the thing it just had like a don’t symbol on the screen and then it was done to go to the Apple Store the next day and was no place to have a computer. I could buy oh my God, I’m in such a hurry. Can you wait?

I was like, no. I have to like meet my supervisor like today. Oh my God. I find your laptop. Wow, well yeah, in teaches like mad about with a mad about it. Like with a mad about what you making would they like, nice isn’t smart enough. Well, this isn’t like nice. It was good. I’m thinking undergrad. They, they try to challenge you

and be like, what, why are you doing this? But like, you know, that they’re trying to like, get you to talk about it? They’re not saying don’t do it. And like, I think that may be a mistake, like, if you don’t let people knock Q about too much like if you’re sure of what you’re doing and it’s a good thing and like you know, not obviously if it’s not hurting anyone and it’s just like a, you

know, you just having fun doing it. It doesn’t have to be this really deep thing like if they had their probably asking you like you know, why are you doing this and not telling you why you’re doing this? It’s more like do just just trying to get you to come out with things and see what you say and then.

Just sort of produce a little bit push you and you know and then they want you to sort of speak back and say like because in 30 my crits ended up like we should have crits like a critique session and it was sort of like you’d have a panel for teachers from the painting department and then it would in

any sort of being in groups. You’d have like everyone in your group. You just sort of watch each other’s as well, but like, extra people started showing up to mine because it started becoming I mean, an almost an argument between me and the panel, but like a positive argument that like it, quiet like a lengthy, like debate about cars and then

and why. And then I was like, again just being like Seinfeld. Like but why like, you know, funny movies world-building video games and then in the end I like, okay cool and I apply for Masters and then I got in and I was like, well, it couldn’t have been too bad because right, I got in and I like new.

I was like, this is fine. Like this is, I’ve come up with a style, like I haven’t painted for that long, like it’s like, you know, it’s only third-year. Like, that’s just three years of painting and their own, but like I was like, I’m happy and what I’m doing, I’m creating this world. I don’t have all the answers and I just say, like, I don’t have the only answers today, but I will have the answers for you at

some point, like, but we’ll meet again, so, and then. Yeah. And then in Masters, it was just like, that’s just more time toiling away at the same things and then you’re kind of like, all right, Got it. Like, I think I know what I’m doing and like I had a gap year between first and second year and that was like, good for Burnout and I just needed, I had to take time off and I needed a

year off. So, I was allowed to like, sign out. So I went and did the scholarship in the show and then I was like, I’ll see you in a year and I did some paintings on that brake as well. I didn’t have a studio. I just like, did them all my travels and like, just roll them up and took them home. Cool. Yeah, but like, You could sort

of naturally come to like a style and you know, then you just stand your ground with it and you’re like I’m doing this because I like it and it comes across the Deep if I like. Yes. Yeah. And we’ll see it. Like even though it’s like your Instagram feed or whatever? Yeah. - yeah. Like even someone who’s like less into art?

I’ll be like yes, I can instantly tasty. It’s got like yeah. I like that. It’s like tasty. She like the textures tasty as ever said. I want to eat my words. Yeah. There are taste. Yeah, totally. Yeah, it’s really handy. And obviously it plays into like, you know, fucking people just seeing your work online and beer.

I want this like that, but that, that comes from. Yeah. Yeah. In deep in your materials and your subject for a long-ass time. Yeah. And you just gotta have fun with it. Like if you don’t having fun, how are you going to sustain it? Yeah. Absolutely. Although I always said, yeah, somewhat, I was like, I don’t know if like, I so someone let me put it this way.

I was kind of of offended recently when someone like asked me, like, if I was working toward like, something like a why? For the photos that I take? Oh yeah. It’s like fuck. Like now I feel like I’m a dumb artist or something but like that’s not it. Like that’s the so not it and then you’re just making photos. Just cause actually, yeah, like

a feel like it already already with like music in some sense, you know? Yes. Which generally generally needs, less justification, people, I’d like over. Why did you cover this? Just Bieber song like it never. Yeah. No one ever asks these questions in music but in I don’t be like. But why the bones? Yeah, that why did you take this photo? Yeah.

And I was like totally, just took it like I just did it. But like, I love what you said about. Like, I don’t have the answers today, but like I will see you again. Like, that’s that’s very much how I feel because I’ve been taking photos my whole life. Basically, we all have and when I feel like everyone of us has a like distinct photo language that we just grow up with and

like, That’s oh yeah. Definitely yeah speaking of it’s like speaking a language like a mother tongue kind of thing you know. Yeah like that is enough for me so far. Anyway I’m working on a couple of like things but yeah I really like that being enough you know. Like that is definitely enough and like it shouldn’t have to

shouldn’t have to be so Under Pressure to be like, oh it’s a dressing like these major themes in the water, it’s like there are so there’s so much going on. Like yeah, you don’t have to sort of try and solve everything. It’s better to just have fun and then you can like use it for a good cause that’s and then that’s off.

Honestly, like more sustainable to just do you and just stay in on your track and just have fun while doing it. Okay. Yeah there’s definitely like a fucking bias toward language as well. Right? Yeah bro. I’m like a visual artist a musician. I’m a photographer that. Yeah. Want to fucking talk about, write an essay about academics

and You got to have words to say or if it can just be an essay or like a thought, what’s the point of making it into work like yeah. Exactly. It doesn’t. It’s just like one Dynamic then, so yeah, yeah, fuck words, baby. Yeah, well, they suck. We’re all anti work against words.

Next episode. No word. If we’re just going to be noise, sounds of us gesturing, it’s the fridge buzzing in the background sounds pencils. Yeah. Where’s this sketching? Cities of visual things on a audio medium. We’ve got a really great face for this.

Maybe we should do video that I think that could be fun. Yeah. Which is a little 360 degree camera here for the post. That would be yeah we got to pick. Yeah, okay well we’re just about to say goodbye but first, we’re going to do some Rex.

He gave us the fruit is sweet. I was like, yes. That’s so nice. Like the best outcome you can ever get from trying to speak the language. C butchered the language and then he gave you free pizza. You must have been pretty good. What’s it? All right. Yeah, go. Also, your wallet. Looks exactly like those brownies true. Don’t let these look like it’s

not sign. These look like leather.

So further, while it appeared, I hadn’t seen it for like 2 months how it goes. I’m gonna be worried such a long time, though. Aw, like, what, if it’s two weeks, I mean, I’ve got everything like an hour. I’d be like, what the having a breakdown? I don’t even have a wallet. Yeah, lady just carries A Fistful of cons and I need a wallet for.

That’s why I don’t even I never activated my card. Not damn, aliens fully digital. Now that he’s a high-class programmer. Oh I’m fully digital. I think I mean I hated cash again recently so it’s like pretty good. Very nice to have Molly. Yeah, yeah. Okay.

I like cash. Imagine these are you guys gonna play see my Rec cash, your germs. All right, let’s do some. Some Rex. All right let’s do some racks and then we’ll say goodbye. I, okay, since you’re the guest, you’ll have to go fast, you will. Okay. First, I’ll have to go first. No, let me say like this.

Thanks, you’re the guest. You may go first.

All right, my Rick would definitely be that garlic and honey, pizza from Westwood pizza, and the margarita both. Okay, order one of each Perfect combo, cool. Oh, it’s like you’re saying this fit. We just did an episode on pizzas, actually. Yeah, you’re saying this fits into the like top Echelon of

pizzas. That’s cool. That one is very good. Yeah. I haven’t even finished our recent style. It’s like that. What’s like Napoli Pizza like thin like they really big like everything. It’s not to like piled up with toppings. It’s just perfect. Yeah. To two young boys directly to their stomachs go.

Yeah. Yeah. Putting all these fucking tomatoes in the band. We’re going there tonight. This is you said it. Yeah. Actually I can have the soup tomorrow. Yeah. Maybe should. I didn’t think of a wreck you guided? All right. Mine is I was Watching the fucking first NFL game of the

season, a couple weeks ago, with my dad and calm Bank Stadium in pará, and all the trains are really fucked up and delayed for like, literally took me like an hour to get home, but anyway, out the front, they had one of these like, what do they call this guy? Like a video box or something. It’s like a big Cube. And it’s got like four screens

on it. Like other front of the station. Yeah. And one of the screens was a video work from Sydney artist Julian Kay ruse and it was called Called like seven and a half minutes walking through para and she just had like a 360-degree camera on like a big stick and so she was just walking like a through the main

streets of power. You could just hear like industrial noise and like the street signs and I thought it was really beautiful Sheen, less cat and like Alice tracksuit and it was just like because like I just fucking get obsessed over like the street and the sounds and it’s a really like nice. Like is like gritty and interesting but also like

beautiful. Kind of like a love letter to the area and it like it, I don’t like public art is, never that cool and I was like damn this is like exactly what public art should be. You can watch these videos, they’re on Vimeo on our website. Check it out and she got like two other ones like walking through Mary lands and somewhere else. So I guess it’s like a little

portrait of where she grew up. I like yeah it was dope. Cool. We’ll definitely link that in the description for real. My recommendation is for sports for cheap sports. Fans out there like me the website that I’m talking about is called Sports Bay or just

Google sports Bay. And basically if a match is like popular like a match, a sporting event is popular enough. Someone will have set up like an illegal stream for it on Sports pay. You can kind of just type in like, a FL into the search bar and get like, 50 pop-ups and then to the British broadcast of the Australian, like, swans

versus whatever the other guys were on fucking Saturday night, or whatever. It was, whatever. Ran onto the field. Yeah. What an amazing live and it was like such a magical piece of TV was. Yeah, it’s cool. I was at work and the pub, eruption everyone jumped out of their seats and screamed and real. Like he’s everyone’s touching his head. Yeah, I would like something so long to get back out to the edge

of the field again. It’s like half an hour. He was like say there’s also a like two security guards like oh well yeah the game lasts five minutes. Five minutes to go. There were like 30 goals ahead. Yeah. Definitely it was in the bag. But like the ball was like, on its way to the goal.

I hadn’t gone through yet and then the camera zooms out and then everyone has already started, just spilling onto the field. It was incredible. And then they showed like an aerial view, and it’s just like this likes. It looks like TV static. Like it’s just a blur of like, little dots that look like heaps of people. Yeah, it was 1,000.

That was that for you? Is I was like listening intently, because I was like, Bonnie actually moved me to write like a poem about it, like I do. For me to use it or whatever, but like I had to, like, do something with it, and that was probably that was called the Harvey Norman drone. The like Harvey Norman sponsored like fucking, oh my God. Yeah, so that’s my

recommendation. And that is the end of another beautiful, smooth slick episode of hung up. And is there anything you wanted to plug it? Got any shows coming up. I do have a show coming up on May 7th and the afternoon. I think it’s 4:58 p.m.
